We are currently seeking an experienced and collaborative Human Resources Business Partner to support leaders and employees across the organization. This is a remote opportunity for candidates residing in Oregon, Washington, or Idaho. The salary range for this role is $84,793 - $104,744, depending on experience and qualifications.
About the Role:
The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) is a strategic advisor and trusted partner, focused on employee relations, performance management, and organizational effectiveness. This role ensures HR programs, policies, and processes are applied consistently and align with OCCU's values, culture, and regulatory requirements.
The HRBP helps shape the employee experience by coaching leaders, advising on performance and development, and guiding teams through change. Success in this role requires strong business acumen, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to build effective relationships across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead employee relations, including investigations and responses to employee concerns
  • Guide performance management processes, including coaching leaders and reviewing documentation
  • Develop, maintain and update job descriptions and career progression plans
  • Support recruitment activities and ensure consistent hiring practices
  • Advise managers on HR policies, employment laws, and protected leave (FMLA, OFLA, ADAAA)
  • Analyze HR trends and metrics to recommend solutions and improve programs
  • Maintain HRIS records and prepare reports to support decision-making
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of HR programs, policies, and procedures
  • Build strong partnerships across departments using effective communication and emotional intelligence

What We're Looking For:
  • Minimum of five years of similar or related HR experience
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems, explain difficult concepts, and influence others as a trusted thought partner
  • Strong planning, prioritization, and collaboration skills
  • Ability to align work with organizational goals and hold self and others accountable
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships across the organization
  • High level of emotional intelligence and professionalism
  • Professional HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP)

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting employee relations and performance management in a multi-state environment
  • Knowledge of FMLA, OFLA, ADAAA, and other employment laws
  • Experience with HRIS systems and HR analytics
  • Experience in financial services or a regulated industry

Education:
  • A bachelor's degree is required and/or demonstrated experience driving measurable business outcomes. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
