Job description

FinQuery stands at the forefront of accounting automation, driven by a deep specialty in contract-driven accounting. Our AI-enabled platform transforms how controllers and finance teams operate, seamlessly managing and accounting for the complex financial contracts-like leases, prepaids, and accruals-that are the backbone of modern business. We are not just a software provider; we are the unified subledger that eliminates time-intensive, error-prone technical accounting workflows, ensuring financial reports are accurate and empowering our customers to focus on strategic, high-value tasks.

FinQuery is the global leader in lease accounting (as recognized on G2.com) and serve more than 8,500 customers worldwide. Our growth trajectory has been consistently validated by the Inc 5000, which has recognized us as one of the fastest-growing private companies for five consecutive years.

About the Role

As a Finance Manager at FinQuery, you'll be a strategic financial partner within our FP&A team, helping shape the accuracy, speed, and impact of how we report, forecast, and understand our business. You'll own recurring reporting cycles, build and refine the financial models that guide key decisions, and partner across the organization to turn data into insight that actually gets used. You'll also bring AI-enabled tools into the mix, helping the team work faster and more reliably as FinQuery continues to grow.

This is a highly cross-functional role. You'll work closely with leaders across Sales, Legal, Product, Revenue, and Finance leadership on everything from compensation plan design to pricing strategy to board-level reporting.

What You'll Do:
  • Lead the design and maintenance of financial models, templates, and dashboards that track spend, product costs, and key business initiatives

  • Analyze SaaS and business performance metrics and turn them into recommendations partners can actually act on

  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual budgeting and forecasting, including P&L, cash flow, and balance sheet projections, and contribute to long-range planning

  • Dig into variance and trend analysis and advise stakeholders on what's driving the numbers

  • Advise partners across the organization on financial insights that improve performance and efficiency

  • Lead deep-dive customer analysis, including bookings, retention, and churn, to inform strategic decisions

  • Partner with Sales, Revenue Operations, Legal, and Finance leadership to design and evaluate sales compensation plans

  • Contribute financial models and metrics to our board and investor reporting

  • Track progress against strategic growth initiatives alongside functional leaders

  • Partner with our systems teams to keep financial data flowing accurately between our core finance and CRM systems

  • Evaluate pricing strategy and provide the financial analysis behind pricing decisions

  • Bring AI-enabled tools into recurring reporting, forecasting, and reconciliation work

  • Stay ahead of emerging AI and analytics approaches and recommend where they'd make the biggest impact

What You Bring:
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, macros, and complex data work

  • Strong PowerPoint skills for building executive-ready presentations

  • Experience building financial models and dashboards using tools like Tableau

  • Familiarity with Workday Financials and CRM systems like HubSpot

  • Comfort with SQL or similar tools to pull and analyze data from multiple sources

  • Genuine interest in using AI tools to improve how financial work gets done

  • Fluency in SaaS metrics like ARR, NRR, GRR, CAC payback, and Rule of 40

  • Understanding of how multi-currency and FX movement affects financial reporting

  • Sharp analytical instincts and high attention to detail

  • Comfort working with large, messy, multi-source data sets

  • A knack for building strong relationships across finance and the broader business

  • The ability to juggle competing deadlines without dropping the ball

  • The ability to explain complex financial analysis in a way anyone can understand

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA, CFA, or MBA a plus

  • 3+ years in FP&A, accounting, or a related analytical role; SaaS, subscription-business, or investment banking analyst background a strong plus

  • Exposure to sales compensation plan design, board or investor reporting, or a PE-backed/growth-stage environment is a plus, but not required
