The Director of Finance will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive financial strategy that aligns with the organization's overall business objectives. This role will foster a culture of collaboration and financial discipline, ensuring close alignment with cross-functional leaders and providing clear guidance on financial processes, governance, and decision-making.
This role requires a strategic leader with deep expertise in financial planning, analysis, and performance management within the HVAC distribution industry. The Director will balance enterprise priorities with local business needs, leveraging insights and resources from the parent company to drive profitability, support sustainable growth, and enhance operational efficiency across all distributorships.
The Director of Finance will play a critical role in delivering actionable financial insights, strengthening internal controls, and guiding leadership through data-driven decision-making to increase market share and improve overall business performance. This position is pivotal in ensuring financial integrity, optimizing resource allocation, and building strong partnerships with key stakeholders.
This position will lead the sourcing efforts of Rheem Air Distribution as well as spearhead cross-business unit opportunities for shared categories and suppliers between RAD and our Rheem Parts Division. Our ideal candidate is located near Atlanta, GA or Houston, TX. This is a hybrid position.
Responsibilities
  • Lead enterprise-wide financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with organizational strategy and business unit priorities
  • Establish and govern standardized financial reporting frameworks, driving accountability for key performance indicators across all business units
  • Provide strategic financial leadership and decision support to executive and operational leaders, translating data into actionable insights
  • Evaluate market trends, competitive dynamics, and economic conditions to inform financial strategy and business planning
  • Drive profitability analysis across products, customers, and channels to optimize margins and support business decisions
  • Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual deliverables
  • Champion continuous improvement and standardization of FP&A processes, tools, and methodologies across the organization
  • Lead financial modeling, scenario planning, and ad hoc analyses to support strategic initiatives, investments, and business cases
  • Oversee cost allocation methodologies and shared service structures to ensure transparency, consistency, and alignment with enterprise standards
  • Strengthen financial governance, internal controls, and compliance with corporate policies and regulatory requirements
  • Partner cross-functionally to drive operational efficiency, optimize resource allocation, and support scalable growth across all distributorships
  • Build and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field of study
  • Minimum of 10+ years of finance experience, with a focus in the HVAC industry, aftermarket, parts & supplies or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience working in a complex, global manufacturing environment
  • Excellent facilitation and communication skills, both written and verbal, with keen attention to detail and accuracy in messaging
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with others in a matrix environment

  • Strong managerial, financial, and analytical skill
