About The Role

The Business Transformation group within Corporate Finance & Restructuring is comprised of the following specialties: Revenue Transformation, Consumer & Retail, Energy, Industrials & Supply Chain, Financial Services, and Food & Agribusiness. Each of these sub-teams is focused on working alongside clients to drive revenue growth and optimize cost efficiencies and operations.

Our Senior Directors are senior engagement leaders who operate across specialties and work directly with executive stakeholders to shape, lead, and deliver enterprise-wide transformation initiatives. Senior Directors are responsible for defining engagement scope, guiding complex analytical workstreams, translating insight into actionable solutions, and ensuring successful implementation that drives measurable financial impact. In addition to leading delivery, Senior Directors contribute meaningfully to business development, client relationship expansion, and the continued growth of the Business Transformation practice.

Within Business Transformation, our Revenue Transformation team specifically focuses on helping companies solve their most pressing revenue challenges across marketing, sales, and service. We provide solutions in six key areas: Customer Experience, Customer and Revenue Strategy, Marketing and Sales Effectiveness, Pricing and Profitability, Customer and Revenue Operations, and Customer Service and Success.

As a Senior Director within Revenue Transformation, you will combine enterprise-level delivery leadership with commercial strategy expertise and market-facing responsibilities to drive sustainable revenue growth and margin improvement for our clients.

Please note that while the five teams comprising Business Transformation operate autonomously, resources are frequently staffed on projects across industry, based upon staffing needs, capabilities required, and personal interest. While industry specific Consultants are expected to develop an expertise in their aligned industry, they are also frequently asked, and given opportunities, to contribute across industries.

What You'll Do

As a Senior Director within Revenue Transformation, you will lead complex, cross-functional engagements focused on driving measurable improvement in revenue growth, profitability, and commercial effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

Commercial Strategy & Revenue Expertise

  • Go to Market Strategy: Apply advanced analytical skills to various client situations, turning fragmented data into a cohesive growth / go-to-market strategy

  • Assess current state and design initiatives to improve sales and marketing effectiveness, accelerate topline growth while maintaining/ optimizing acquisition cost

  • Redesign and implement "Lead-to-Cash" models, streamlining the journey from lead generation to sales conversion to cash collection and revenue recognition

  • Assess customer and channel profitability and identify opportunities for pricing and margin optimization

  • Evaluate and redesign customer service and success operating models, processes and tools to improve performance metrics

  • Work cross-functionally within client teams across marketing, sales, service, and finance to deliver integrated improvement

Engagement Leadership & Enterprise Impact

  • Lead enterprise-wide commercial transformation initiatives across marketing, sales, service, and other relevant functions (e.g. finance)

  • Define hypotheses, scope analyses, and oversee complex analytical workstreams, including financial modeling, EBITDA and cash flow projections, and value creation analyses

  • Translate data-driven insights into clear executive recommendations and actionable implementation roadmaps

  • Ensure delivery of high-quality work products within established timeframes

Executive Communication & Storytelling

  • Be an effective storyteller within a business context-craft business problems and solutions in ways that executive and operational stakeholders can understand and act upon

  • Prepare and oversee PowerPoint presentations and quantitative exhibits for executive audiences and third parties

Team Leadership & Development

  • Manage and motivate multiple workstreams and teams with diverse skills and backgrounds

  • Develop, manage and mentor Directors, Senior Consultants, Consultants and junior team members

  • Foster a collaborative, high-performance team environment aligned with Business Transformation values

Business Development & Practice Growth

  • Lead and support pursuits and proposal development efforts

  • Contribute to practice development initiatives and thought leadership within Revenue Transformation

  • Identify opportunities to expand client relationships and deliver integrated solutions across Corporate Finance & Restructuring

What You Will Need to Succeed

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Engineering, or another quantitative or related field

  • 8+ years of combined post-graduation professional experience

  • 6+ years of experience delivering customer-centric and revenue-focused transformation initiatives, including go to market strategy, commercial excellence initiatives, sales & marketing org design, customer experience design

  • Demonstrated experience leading complex business strategy projects in multi-stakeholder environments

  • Proven ability to lead teams on complex assignments and develop individual team members

  • Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and business analytics tools to supervise data analysis, interpret outputs, and generate insights

  • Experience making detailed assessments of industries, products, markets, competitors, and customers to identify risks and opportunities

  • Ability to travel to clients and FTI Consulting office(s) as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or other advanced degree

  • Experience within consulting firm, private equity portfolio company, or senior commercial leadership role

  • Demonstrated involvement in business development, including leading aspects of pursuits and proposal development

Compensation

Minimum Pay: $154,000
Maximum Pay: $302,000
