Job description

The Benefits Analyst - Retirement & Financial Programs supports the administration and payroll reconciliation of employer-sponsored retirement plans, FSAs, and HSAs in a complex, multi-platform environment. On a bi-weekly basis, this role reconciles data across HCM, payroll, and vendor systems to ensure accuracy of team member and employer contribution records, including identifying and resolving discrepancies and coordinating corrections with internal teams and external vendors. Key responsibilities include retirement plan, FSA, and HSA reconciliations, validation of contribution accuracy, and alignment of payroll and vendor files. The role also supports retirement wellness initiatives, communication strategies, and participant engagement to drive enrollment and completion of required actions.
Required Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Finance, Financial Wellness, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience leading and/or consulting in retirement or financial wellness benefits administration and team member benefit reconciliation.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Finance, Financial Wellness, or a related field.
  • Recent certification and/or formal education or training in retirement benefit administration, general benefits administration, or a comparable field.
  • 5 or more years of experience leading and/or consulting in retirement or financial wellness benefits administration and team member benefit reconciliation. Preference will be given to candidates with experience working in a healthcare or similarly complex environment and knowledge of benefits, Form 5500 filings, compensation, total rewards, payroll, and/or human resources.

Skills
  • Serves as a lead resource for retirement benefits, FSA, and HSA administration, including reconciliation, vendor coordination, and operational support within the benefits team.
  • Maintains strong working knowledge of retirement plan and consumer-driven account (FSA/HSA) processes, procedures, and compliance requirements, identifying opportunities for process improvement and control enhancements.
  • Performs and supports ongoing reconciliation of retirement plans, FSAs, and HSAs across HCM, payroll, and vendor systems to ensure accuracy, compliance, and data integrity.
  • Collaborates with internal HR partners and external vendors (recordkeepers, TPAs, and administrators) to support plan operations, resolve discrepancies,
    and ensure accurate file transmission and account administration.
  • Monitors regulatory changes impacting retirement plans and consumer driven accounts, assisting with compliance review, documentation updates, and required participant communications and notices.
  • Organizes, maintains, and updates participant-facing retirement and financial benefit communications, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and regulatory compliance.
  • Tracks vendor performance, system functionality, and industry trends related to retirement and financial benefit platforms, including FSA and HSA administration systems.
  • Delivers written and verbal analysis, reconciliations, and reporting insights related to retirement and financial benefit programs to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Applies strong analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve reconciliation variances, vendor issues, and system discrepancies in complex environments
  • Utilizes advanced Excel and reporting tools to perform accurate reconciliations, trend analysis, and data validation across benefit programs.
  • Develops and maintains standard operating procedures (SOPs) for reconciliation, vendor processes, and retirement/financial benefit administration workflows, and provides training to colleagues as needed.
  • Manages multiple priorities and deadlines independently while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely completion of deliverables.
  • Demonstrates strong discretion and accountability in handling sensitive team member financial and benefits data.
  • Builds and maintains effective relationships with vendors, internal stakeholders, and peers to support efficient administration, issue resolution, and continuous improvement of retirement and financial benefit programs.
