Position Description:

Builds automation pipelines by leveraging DevOps concepts and Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) tools such as Jenkins and Git. Creates and improves API design with relational database management systems (RDBMS), RESTful APIs, and related tools such as SQL, Rest Assured, and Postman. Works with Agile. Programs testable and maintainable software solutions by leveraging tools such as Java and JavaScript using Cucumber for Behavior-Driven Development (BDD). Uses business knowledge to translate the vision for divisional initiatives into business solutions by developing complex or multiple software applications and conducting studies of alternatives. Analyzes and recommends changes in project development policies, procedures, standards, and strategies to development experts and management.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Participates in architecture design teams.
  • Defines and implements application-level architecture.
  • Develops applications on complex projects, components, and subsystems for the division.
  • Recommends development testing tools and methodologies and reviews and validates test plans.
  • Responsible for QA readiness of software deliverables.
  • Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications or subsystems.
  • Establishes full project life cycle plans for complex projects across multiple platforms.
  • Responsible for meeting project goals on-time and on-budget.
  • Advises on risk assessment and risk management strategies for projects.
  • Plans and coordinates project schedules and assignments for multiple projects.
  • Acts as a primary liaison for business units to resolve various project/technology issues.
  • Provides technology solutions to daily issues and technical evaluation estimates on technology initiatives.
  • Advises senior management on technical strategy.
  • Mentors junior team members.
  • Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives.
  • Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and five (5) years of experience as a Principal Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) designing and executing automated testing frameworks using WebDriver IO, Selenium, Appium, and Cypress for robust Web and Mobile applications in the financial services domain.

Or, alternatively, Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and three (3) years of experience as a Principal Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) designing and executing automated testing frameworks using WebDriver IO, Selenium, Appium, and Cypress for robust Web and Mobile applications in the financial services domain.

Skills and Knowledge:

Candidate must also possess:

  • Demonstrated Expertise ("DE") designing and developing scalable test automation frameworks using Java, Python, and Node.js with tools -- Rest Assured, Cypress, Selenium WebDriver, Appium, and JavaScript -- for comprehensive Web, API, and Mobile testing.
  • DE conducting advanced performance testing (load, stress, and endurance) using JMeter, Rest Assured, and Cucumber BDD integrated into Jenkins Pipelines within Azure hybrid cloud environments; ensuring real-time metrics are visualized using Angular dashboards to optimize UI and API responsiveness.
  • DE implementing CI/CD automation using Jenkins Core pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) by integrating RestAssured, Cypress, Jasmine, Jest, Playwright, and WebDriver IO; and deploying containerized applications (Kubernetes and Helm), and executing tests across Docker, Virtual Machines (VM), and Sauce Labs.
  • DE optimizing data-driven testing and analytics by composing and tuning complex SQL, MongoDB, and Postgres queries across large datasets using MongoDB Compass and MySQL Workbench to enhance backend performance and test coverage.
