Senior Software Engineer

Tilled's rapidly growing Payfac-as-a-Service platform is empowering software companies to seamlessly embed payment processing while supporting some of the biggest names in the payments space. As traditional payment entities like ISOs, processors, and acquirers see their legacy models becoming obsolete, ISVs are disrupting the market through software-led payments, and Tilled is at the forefront of this transformation.

You are:

  • Authorized to work in the United States and a resident in a United States time zone
  • Comfortable with remote work
Position Summary

We are looking to add a senior engineer to our team. You'll work directly with our Head of Engineering and have broad end-to-end responsibilities. We are looking for a strong software engineer and you will have opportunities to contribute across the entire stack. Your work will have a tremendous impact on every aspect of Tilled's business success. A day in the life as a Software Engineer may include:

  • Create, develop, deploy, and maintain Tilled services
  • Design and implement highly reliable, fault tolerant systems
  • Collect and visualize detailed telemetry data to continuously improve systems
  • Advance and adhere to high-quality coding practices – unit testing, pair programming
  • End-to-end responsibility – continuously monitor and improve the services you create
  • Promote an engineering team culture that is always learning, motivated and collaborative
  • Work with a variety of technologies – Typescript, Angular, NodeJS, Postgres

Typical Hours for this Position: You must be flexible to work between the hours of 8 am to 5 pm, Monday-Friday.

What You Have:

  • 6+ years of software development experience
  • 6+ years of web application framework experience such as NodeJS
  • 6+ years of database related experience such as Postgres
  • You function with confidence in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • You work seamlessly in a remote dispersed team environment
  • You want to contribute to an engineering team culture that is always learning, motivated and collaborative

What You May Have:

  • Experience with Angular or Typescript preferred
  • Experience in a start-up preferred
  • Experience with AWS preferred
  • Experience implementing payment systems – Stripe, Braintree preferred
  • Experience optimizing production systems for performance, quality and reliability preferred
