[We are looking for a Senior Drainage Engineer in our Salt Lake City, UT office.

The Impact You’ll Make (Job Responsibilities)

  • Lead stormwater design for bidbuild and designbuild projects, including roadway drainage, bridge hydraulics, and closedsystem analysis.
  • Utilize industrystandard tools such as HECRAS, HY8, GEOPAK Drainage, and MicroStation ORD to develop drainage layouts and design improvements.
  • Manage technical reports, cost estimates, and the permitting coordination required by regional stormwater agencies.
  • Act as a technical lead, training and guiding junior engineers and technicians to maintain our high standard of excellence.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary support staff and reviewers to ensure every project is high-quality, and delivered on schedule.

The Expertise You’ll Bring (Qualifications)

  • You hold a bachelor’s in civil or environmental engineering and have 10+ years of dedicated stormwater design experience.
  • You are a registered Professional Engineer (PE) in Utah and/or Colorado (or possess the ability to obtain reciprocity within 12 months).
  • You are proficient in MicroStation ORD and GEOPAK Drainage. Experience with 2D modeling (SRH-2D, SMS) and ArcGIS.
  • Familiarity with UDOT or CDOT standards is highly desirable. Familiarity with the FEMA LOMR/CLOMA processes is a plus.
  • You can distill complex engineering concepts into clear drawings, technical documents, and verbal presentations for clients and stakeholders.
