• Conduct thorough crisis assessments and interventions for individuals facing acute mental health challenges, including those in immediate danger.
• Provide counseling to clients who require urgent support, employing culturally sensitive and trauma-informed approaches to enhance therapeutic rapport.
• Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency response personnel to ensure client safety during crises, making necessary referrals to additional resources.
• Develop and implement personalized crisis intervention plans, offering immediate care and follow-up recommendations tailored to individual needs.
• Utilize evidence-based techniques for crisis intervention and de-escalation strategies, effectively managing high-stress situations with a calm demeanor.

The primary focus of this position is on individuals experiencing substance misuse and mental health crises. Counselors address a wide spectrum of issues, including trauma-related conditions, emotional distress, and suicidal ideation. Clients may come from diverse backgrounds, each with unique experiences and challenges. Your ability to build rapport, demonstrate empathy, and provide culturally appropriate support will be crucial in fostering healing and resilience.

• Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) designation.
• A minimum of three years of recent experience in crisis intervention and mental health counseling.
• Specific training in crisis counseling and trauma-informed care is highly desirable.
• Proven experience delivering effective counseling services to individuals in immediate mental health crises.
• Demonstrated proficiency in evidence-based crisis intervention techniques and de-escalation strategies.
