The Bureau of Investments (BOI) at Michigan Department of Treasury is looking for a dynamic leader with excellent leadership skills, strategic planning abilities, high ethical standards, and a positive attitude to join their team. This position acts as the Operations Administrator providing overall planning and direction to the Operations Division of the Trust Accounting and Operations Bureau, which is responsible for the multi-billion dollar settlement activities of all securities purchased, sold, or matured for the State of Michigan Retirement System Fund, the State Treasurer's Common Cash Fund, and various agency and trust funds. This position also directs and oversees the multi-million dollar daily cash control functions associated with trading and income cash funds; it oversees accounting transaction preparation functions associated with the limited partnership investment activities and corporate capital change activities; and is responsible for the accounting systems input functions for various systems, including the investment detail accounting system and the State's general ledger accounting system.

Travel. This position requires independent out-of-state travel utilizing airplanes, trains, cars, taxicabs, buses, ships, etc. in the evenings and/or weekends, as needed, for work-related purposes, which may include domestic and international assignments, with overnight or extended accommodations, as necessary.
Remote Work. This position is eligible to work remotely (at home) up to five days per week, occasional onsite work will be required. The selected candidate must have a secure, safe and appropriate designated workspace that allows privacy and prevents distractions to perform the duties of this position. Additionally, the selected candidate must have secure and sufficient internet access of commercial cable or wireless broadband with minimum speeds of 25 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload. Work must be performed in the state of Michigan. If you currently reside outside of Michigan, you must relocate to Michigan to perform the duties of this position prior to being appointed to the position. Relocation expenses are not reimbursed.
