Job description

Meri Stori is a fast-growing beauty brand seeking a creative, trend-savvy Social Media Manager & Creative Strategist to help grow our brand presence and founder platform through engaging content, community building, and innovative social media strategy.

This role combines creative strategy, content management, and community engagement. The ideal candidate can develop compelling content ideas while also managing the day-to-day execution of our social media presence.


Responsibilities

  • Develop 5–10 high-impact content ideas per week
  • Create strong hooks, storytelling angles, and content concepts for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and other short-form platforms
  • Build and manage a content calendar
  • Publish and schedule content across social media platforms
  • Stay ahead of trends, sounds, formats, and platform updates
  • Manage daily community engagement, including responding to comments and direct messages
  • Monitor conversations about the brand and engage with followers in a timely and professional manner
  • Help maintain a consistent and authentic brand voice across all platforms
  • Coordinate content shoots, shot lists, and creative direction
  • Identify opportunities for influencer, creator, and UGC collaborations
  • Monitor content performance and provide recommendations for growth
  • Assist with customer inquiries received through social media channels
  • Help position the founder and brand as a recognizable voice within the beauty industry

Qualifications

  • Proven experience managing and growing social media accounts
  • Strong understanding of TikTok, Instagram, and short-form video content
  • Excellent creative instincts and storytelling ability
  • Deep understanding of social media trends and viral content
  • Strong communication and community management skills

  • Graphic design experience

Location Preference

This is a remote position. While applicants from anywhere in the U.S. are encouraged to apply, preference will be given to candidates in the NYC/NJ area who are available to participate in occasional content shoots, creator partnerships, and in-person brand events.
