Senior Account Executive, Fashion & Lifestyle
About AZIONE
AZIONE is not a traditional PR agency. We operate at the intersection of culture, media, and brand, building relevance, not just awareness. Across fashion, retail, lifestyle, beauty, and contemporary design, we help brands shape conversation, enter culture, and drive measurable business impact through strategic storytelling, media relations, partnerships, experiential activations, influencer marketing, and cultural positioning.
Job Description
We're looking for a Senior Account Executive to join AZIONE's Fashion & Lifestyle Division on the Media + Brand team, supporting a portfolio of fashion, retail, lifestyle, accessories, and contemporary designer brands.
This position is based in New York City. Our NYC team follows a hybrid work schedule, with a mix of in-office and remote work.
This is not a traditional publicity role. It's a strategic, media-driven position for someone who understands how today's most exciting brands build relevance across editorial, retail, creator ecosystems, partnerships, celebrity, and culture.
You have a strong pulse on the evolving fashion and lifestyle landscape, from luxury and contemporary brands to emerging designers, retail, hospitality, and consumer trends. You know how to translate a product launch, founder story, partnership, or campaign into compelling editorial opportunities that generate meaningful visibility and cultural conversation.
You understand today's media ecosystem across:
  • Fashion + lifestyle media
  • Retail + business press
  • Luxury + consumer publications
  • Executive thought leadership
  • Cultural relevance + commercial impact

You're naturally curious, proactive, and constantly looking for opportunities to connect brands to the conversations shaping fashion, lifestyle, and modern consumer culture.
Key Responsibilities
Client Relationships & Account Support
  • Serve as a trusted day-to-day contact across fashion, lifestyle, retail, and contemporary designer accounts.
  • Support client calls, showroom appointments, desksides, interviews, press previews, fashion week initiatives, retail openings, brand activations, and experiential events alongside senior leadership.
  • Manage timelines, agendas, action items, and client deliverables with exceptional organization and attention to detail.
  • Build strong client relationships through proactive communication, responsiveness, and thoughtful execution.
  • Support new business initiatives through research, competitive audits, brainstorms, and proposal development.

Media Strategy & Cultural Storytelling
  • Drive proactive media outreach across fashion, retail, lifestyle, luxury, business, trade, and culture publications.
  • Develop compelling story angles spanning product launches, seasonal collections, designer and executive profiles, retail expansion, partnerships, collaborations, consumer trends, and cultural moments.
  • Identify editorial opportunities that position clients within larger conversations shaping fashion, luxury, retail, travel, hospitality, wellness, and lifestyle.
  • Support integrated communications campaigns spanning earned media, affiliate, partnerships, experiential activations, and marketing initiatives.
  • Monitor the evolving media landscape and proactively surface timely opportunities, trends, and insights for both clients and internal teams.

Execution Excellence
  • Execute product launches, campaigns, partnerships, events, retail openings, and editorial initiatives from planning through completion.
  • Draft and refine pitches, press materials, briefing documents, media alerts, executive talking points, client recaps, and reporting with a strong understanding of brand voice and positioning.
  • Ensure all client-facing materials are polished, strategic, and aligned with overall brand objectives.
  • Stay informed on emerging trends, consumer behavior, retail innovation, affiliate commerce, and the evolving media landscape.

Networking & Relationship Building
  • Continuously cultivate relationships across:
    • Fashion editors and market teams
    • Lifestyle, luxury, retail, and business media
    • Brand and cultural partners
  • Build a reputation as someone who is responsive, collaborative, well-connected, and solutions-oriented.
  • Actively grow and strengthen AZIONE's network across fashion, lifestyle, retail, and cultural industries.

Leadership
  • Mentor and support Account Coordinators, Junior Account Executives, and interns through day-to-day coaching and development.
  • Foster strong collaboration across PR, VIP, Influencer, Affiliate teams
  • Demonstrate accountability, professionalism, responsiveness, and ownership across all client work.
  • Contribute to a collaborative, entrepreneurial, and culturally connected team environment while setting the standard for executional excellence.

What Makes You Stand Out
  • 4+ years of experience in fashion, lifestyle, retail, or luxury PR, media relations, brand communications, or integrated marketing.
  • Experience supporting fashion, accessories, lifestyle, contemporary designer, hospitality, or consumer brands.
  • Strong relationships with fashion, lifestyle, retail, luxury, business, and consumer media, with a proven track record of securing meaningful editorial coverage.

  • A genuine passion for fashion, retail, lifestyle, culture, media, and the evolving consumer landscape.

Benefits:
  • Salary - $85,000 - $95,000 annually (based on experience)
  • 100% medical and dental coverage
  • Bonus and commission opportunities
  • Year-long summer Friday hours
  • 401K benefits
