Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to diagnose mental health conditions, shaping individualized treatment plans grounded in best practices.
• Maintain a caseload of approximately 25-30 client sessions per week, offering both telehealth and remote therapy options to foster accessibility.
• Document all client interactions meticulously, including assessments, treatment notes, and follow-up plans, per organizational policies to ensure continuity of care.
• Deliver exceptional customer service, advocating for clients and working collaboratively with a team of dedicated health professionals.
• Integrate creative therapeutic interventions tailored to each client’s goals, helping them to overcome personal challenges and improve their overall quality of life.
• Coordinate care directly with families, medical personnel, and educational staff, ensuring a holistic approach that considers all facets of the client's environment.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary clientele includes individuals and families who may be facing challenges such as addiction, trauma, domestic issues, or mental health disorders. As an LMFT, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients, including children, adolescents, couples, and families, each requiring tailored therapeutic techniques.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field is required.
• Must possess a valid and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.
• Demonstrated knowledge of family therapy services and community resources, alongside a keen interest in addressing the unique needs of correctional facility clients.
• Experience with documentation practices including assessments, treatment plans, and clinical notes is essential.
• Proven experience working with children, adolescents, couples, and families, demonstrating a strong ability to address diverse psychological needs.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary to facilitate effective interactions with clients and team members.
• Ability to define and maintain appropriate therapeutic boundaries in client relationships.
• Commitment to cultural competence and inclusivity when accessing and treating various client demographics.
• Must pass a background check as a condition of employment.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in a correctional or behavioral health setting is advantageous.
• Familiarity with fee collection processes and insurance verification.

• The salary for this role ranges from USD 90,000 to 110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
