Position Title: Donor Program Services Data Coordinator

Department: Donor Program Services

Reports to: Records Quality Supervisor

Position Location: Remote

Position Summary:

Example of a Position Summary: Under the direction of the Records Quality Supervisor and in collaboration with the Donor Program Services team, the Data Coordinator works to advance fundraising efforts through the management and maintenance of constituent data. The Data Coordinator will ensure the quality, accuracy, and integrity of constituent biographical, engagement, and giving data in the database.

Educational or Certification Requirements:

โ€ข Bachelorโ€™s degree preferred.

Experience Requirements:

โ€ข Demonstrated experience in donor/constituent record management, data analytics, business operations, and/or data management.

โ€ข Strong understanding of the goals and guiding principles of the fundraising profession and familiarity with databases and data management principles.

Knowledge, Skills, & Character Required:

โ€ข Proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access, as well as familiarity with donor database systems

โ€ข Experience with query and reporting

โ€ข Familiarity with databases and data management principles

โ€ข Familiarity with data privacy and protection laws and best practices

โ€ข Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as interpersonal, organizational, and motivational skills.

โ€ข Familiarity with data mining, wealth identification, screening, and other prospect programs

Duties:

โ€ข Supports Development in the administration of system integrity and quality control by monitoring data entry and the database for inaccurate data to eliminate duplicates and inaccuracies

โ€ข Works with the Development and DPS team to ensure accurate processing and coding of gifts

โ€ข Provide support for Development through tracking and moving constituents through various donor programs from inception through stewardship

โ€ข Produce statistical, research, and management reports and recommendations to provide strategic and tactical advice to meet fundraising goals

โ€ข Design and execute complex queries and export files for varied purposes, including bringing resolution to system/data deficiencies or errors, etc.

โ€ข Support coordination and oversight of core donor data, including the monthly giving program

โ€ข Monitor and maintain data quality within the donor database by undertaking associated data clean-up

โ€ข Resolve issues with key stakeholders as needed on matters relating to donor data, data integrity, and process improvement

โ€ข Work with frontline fundraising teams, DPS, and Tech Services teams to assess/identify needs on new functionality provided; and support rollout of those initiatives, including efforts to ensure all users are aware of key issues relating to process changes, system changes/upgrades.

โ€ข Help maintain policies, procedures, and reporting functions for donor data

โ€ข Provide training when necessary for data entry and records maintenance

โ€ข Respond to requests from frontline fundraising teams and internal stakeholders to ensure they are fulfilled/addressed appropriately

โ€ข Help identify opportunities to improve data accuracy and completeness, as well as opportunities for process improvement and automation

โ€ข Provide support for forecasting, budgeting, and process improvement necessary for the successful planning and execution of campaign mailings
