The Experiential Creative Director is the strategic and creative lead responsible for shaping world-class exhibition and event experiences across the healthcare and aerospace sectors. This role blends narrative craft, spatial storytelling, and industry-specific insight to create immersive environments that elevate brand presence, simplify complex technologies, and drive meaningful audience engagement.
You will guide multidisciplinary teams -3D, digital, brand and experience design - to deliver concepts that are bold, human, and commercially effective.

Responsibilities:
Creative Leadership & Storytelling
  • Develop compelling experience narratives that translate complex healthcare and aerospace innovations into clear, emotionally resonant stories.
  • Craft overarching creative platforms that unify spatial design, content, technology, and attendee journey.
  • Lead ideation sessions, creative development, and pitch storytelling with clarity, confidence, and vision.
  • Champion narrative coherence across every touchpoint - from pre-show engagement to in-booth interactions.

Exhibition & Environmental Experience Design
  • Partner closely with 3D designers to shape spatial concepts, attendee flow, and architectural storytelling.
  • Translate brand strategy and technical product information into immersive physical environments.
  • Ensure creative intent is maintained through design development, prototyping, and fabrication.
  • Guide the integration of digital, interactive, and sensory elements that enhance the physical experience.

Sector Expertise: Healthcare & Aerospace
  • Understand regulatory, compliance, and communication nuances within healthcare exhibitions (pharma, med-tech, diagnostics).
  • Interpret complex aerospace technologies, systems, and engineering narratives into accessible, engaging experiences.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, audience expectations, and emerging technologies relevant to both sectors.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work in tight partnership with 3D, strategy, content, motion, and production teams to deliver cohesive experiences.
  • Collaborate with client services and growth teams to shape pitch strategy and elevate creative quality.
  • Build strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and creative ambassador.

Creative Direction Through Delivery
  • Provide direction and critique throughout design development, ensuring alignment with the creative vision.
  • Review 3D outputs, content, and environmental storytelling to maintain quality and consistency.
  • Attend installations and show openings to ensure the final experience reflects the intended narrative.

Innovation & Future-Readiness
  • Explore emerging experiential technologies, materials, and engagement formats relevant to exhibitions.
  • Drive experimentation and pilot new approaches that differentiate clients on the show floor.
  • Inspire teams with forward-thinking creative methodologies and sector-specific innovation.

Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience as a Creative Director or Senior Experiential Creative within exhibitions, events, or spatial storytelling.
  • Strong narrative craft with the ability to simplify complex healthcare or aerospace subject matter.
  • Deep understanding of exhibition design, attendee behaviour, and environmental storytelling.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with 3D teams and translate ideas into spatial concepts.
  • Confident presenter with exceptional communication and storytelling skills.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing creative development from concept to execution.
  • Familiarity with Adobe creative tools and expertise in harnessing the power of AI technologies to visualise creative ideation
  • Possess the presence and experience to interface at executive level
  • Generate and present thought leadership on behalf of the agency
  • Maintain an effective working relationship with all company departments, with particular emphasis on a team approach to projects.

  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience in an experiential creative agency with a particular focus on experiential events & activations in the exhibition industry.
  • Strong leadership skills - ability to build, develop and motivate winning teams, supported by your coaching and mentoring skills
  • Excellent customer and inter-company relationship skills
  • Proven experience in managing small and large creative projects from inception to project closeout, including follow-up methodology
  • Strong ability to work under pressure.
  • Some travel required.

How to measure success
  • By 30 days incumbent should understand team dynamics and perform basic job functions independently
  • By 60 days incumbent should be self-reliant on basic job functions and begin executing more complex tasks
  • By 90 days, incumbent should have ownership over specific projects
