Project / Product Manager - Containerized Data Centers
Expected Salary Range: $120,000-$150,000 per year

The Project / Product Manager manages specialized, mission critical containerized and modular data center manufacturing projects from inception through completion. For data center projects that frequently include radio frequency (RF) and acoustic attenuation properties within the data center, expeditionary defense and intelligence data center applications, and rapid data center design and deployment, the Project / Product Manager ensures alignment with organizational goals, customer requirements, operational constraints, budgets and schedules. The Project / Product Manager leads the development of data center bids and proposals, cost estimates, and detailed project schedules while effectively balancing scope, budget, resources, and timelines. During data center project execution, the Project / Product Manager performs or oversees all tasks and planning necessary to ensure successful project completion. As operational needs dictate, the Project / Product Manager conducts site surveys, manages data center installations, supports customer visits to company properties to view data centers in production, and contributes expertise to company projects in other areas.
Duties and Responsibilities / Essential Functions
  • Perform project management functions from concept development through delivery of containerized and modular data centers and related services for federal government customers and adjacent entities.
  • Create containerized data center bids, proposals, and quotes in collaboration with company technical experts.
  • Create accurate data center project schedules, identify critical paths, and appropriately mitigate schedule risk.
  • Collaborate with purchasing and logistics personnel to ensure all data center project materials are ordered and received.
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure all customer expectations are met through delivery of containerized and modular data centers.
  • Ensure that project goals are accomplished in line with business objectives.
  • Manage data center project risks and implement mitigation plans.
  • Support the development of modular data center product documentation, instructions, user guides, metrics and sales and marketing content.
  • Engage customers to clarify data center requirements and identify solutions.
  • Use data and metrics to evaluate the performance of a manufactured project.
  • Manage, plan and coordinate the development of new data center products and enhancements of existing data center products based on short-term and long-term needs.

Skills and Specifications
  • Familiarity with containerized and modular data center manufacturing and construction workflows, including planning, execution, and reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to set and meet goals, assess resource needs, develop schedules, monitor and communicate status, and develop processes and procedures.
  • In-depth understanding of data center manufacturing and construction industry market trends and conditions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced organizing and attention to detail skills, with an ability to work multiple projects and customer engagements simultaneously.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position does not require the supervision of direct reports.
Work Environment
This job operates in professional office, workshop, production facility, and field environments which can include working near moving mechanical parts, non-weather wet or humid conditions, and extreme cold and heat. We operate inside and outside, in all weather conditions. This role routinely uses standard office equipment, hand tools, site equipment and vehicles, and is required to use and wear standard PPE, which will be provided by the company.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to work for prolonged periods of time sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Lifting of up to 25 lbs. may occur.
Position Type / Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time salaried exempt position. Standard days and hours are 40 hours per week, with weekends and extended hours as needed. Ability to work flexible hours including nights, holidays, and weekends is required based on business needs.
Travel
This position requires travel approximately one quarter of the year. Travel will be to customer and project locations within the Continental United States (CONUS) and outside the continental United States (OCONUS) to include classified and hostile environments. Travel to company facilities in NY and PA will also be required.
Required Education and Experience
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, Management, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years' experience performing project management role on complex projects.
  • Experience with manufacturing or constructing data centers.
  • Experience with manufacturing or constructing products for federal government customers preferred.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
  • Experience with Lean concepts and applying them in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Work Authorization / Security Clearance
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a federal government security clearance.
  • Must be able to travel within the Continental United States (CONUS) and outside the Continental United States (OCONUS).
  • Must be able to pass federal contract OCONUS deployment requirements published by the US Government from time to time.
  • Must successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) background check.
  • Must successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) drug test and motor vehicle record review.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license compliant with REAL ID requirements.
