Job description

AMI Expeditionary Healthcare is expanding our Corporate Human Resources team and seeking an experienced Remote Provider Recruiter (part-time) to support recruitment for both proposal (RFP) responses and newly awarded healthcare contracts.

The Provider Recruiter will manage full-cycle recruitment for physicians (MD/DO), Nurse Practitioners (NPs), Physician Assistants (PAs), and specialty physicians supporting federal, commercial, and international healthcare programs.

This is an excellent opportunity for a relationship-driven recruiter who enjoys building provider networks, sourcing hard-to-find clinical talent, and working in a fast-paced, mission-focused environment.

This is a part-time position requiring approximately 8–10 hours per week. Candidates must be available during normal business hours for at least 50% of their scheduled weekly hours, with some flexibility to work outside of normal business hours as needed to meet physicians’ needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment for physicians, APPs, and specialty healthcare physicians.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with physicians and advanced practice physicians through proactive outreach, networking, referrals, and ongoing engagement.
  • Source qualified candidates using LinkedIn Recruiter, provider databases, professional organizations, job boards, referrals, social media, and other recruiting platforms.
  • Conduct candidate interviews and assess clinical experience, licensure, credentials, availability, and overall fit.
  • Present opportunities and educate candidates on project requirements, compensation, benefits, and onboarding expectations.
  • Build and maintain active candidate pipelines for current and future staffing needs.
  • Coordinate interviews with candidates, hiring managers, and clients while providing a positive candidate experience.
  • Maintain accurate candidate and recruiting records within the ATS and other recruiting systems.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing priorities and develop effective recruitment strategies.
  • Track recruiting activity, pipeline metrics, and hiring progress and provide regular updates.
  • Stay current on provider compensation trends, market conditions, specialty shortages, and recruitment best practices.
  • Support recruiting initiatives, networking events, and employer branding activities as needed.
  • Ensure recruitment activities comply with company policies, client requirements, and applicable employment laws.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • 3+ years of provider recruitment experience, recruiting physicians and/or advanced practice physicians.
  • Demonstrated success recruiting across multiple provider specialties.
  • Experience recruiting hard-to-fill and specialty positions nationwide.
  • Knowledge of provider credentialing, state licensure, privileging, and onboarding requirements.
  • Established professional network of physicians and advanced practice physicians.
  • Strong passive sourcing, candidate engagement, relationship-building, and networking skills.
  • Excellent interviewing, candidate assessment, negotiation, and closing abilities.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple requisitions and competing priorities.
  • Experience using an Applicant Tracking System (ATS), LinkedIn Recruiter, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound professional judgment.
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
  • Customer-focused and collaborative with a strong team-oriented approach.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience recruiting for federal healthcare contracts, including VA, DoD, IHS, or other government agencies.
  • Experience supporting proposal/RFP recruitment efforts.
  • Experience recruiting physicians for government, commercial, or international healthcare programs.
