What is a Remote Evidence Technician?

A Remote Evidence Technician is a professional responsible for managing, analyzing, and preserving digital or physical evidence from a remote location, often for law enforcement or legal cases. Their duties may include cataloging evidence, maintaining chain of custody, and ensuring proper storage and documentation, all while working outside a traditional office or lab setting. This role relies heavily on secure digital systems to access, process, and report on evidence, allowing for flexibility and efficiency in supporting investigations. Remote Evidence Technicians must adhere to strict legal and ethical standards to ensure the integrity and admissibility of evidence.
