The position is primarily remote, enabling you to provide therapeutic support through telehealth platforms. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough trauma-informed assessments to evaluate each patient’s unique history and mental health needs.
• Developing and implementing comprehensive individualized treatment plans aimed at promoting recovery, resilience, and coping skills.
• Utilizing evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to address underlying trauma.
• Facilitating individual therapy sessions and group therapy discussions to guide patients in processing their trauma and developing practical coping strategies.
• Collaborating with psychiatrists, primary care physicians, and other mental health professionals to ensure holistic care for all patients.
• Providing crisis intervention support during traumatic events, ensuring timely and effective assistance.
• Educating patients and their families about trauma responses, therapeutic processes, and available resources to enhance their understanding and recovery journey.
• Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation while adhering to legal and ethical standards of practice.
• Participating in case consultations and team meetings to share insights and develop integrated treatment approaches.
• Staying current with the latest research and methodologies in trauma therapy to enhance treatment effectiveness.

You will primarily work with individuals affected by various forms of trauma, particularly those struggling with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. This role requires a deep understanding of the emotional and psychological impacts of trauma and a commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care. You will meet clients in various stages of their recovery, guiding them through the process with empathy and expertise.

To qualify for this position, you must possess the following:

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Georgia.
• An understanding of trauma-related disorders and resilience-building techniques.

While a minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience focused on trauma therapy is preferred, we value diverse experiences that contribute to your clinical skills. Relevant training or certifications in trauma-focused therapies will strengthen your application.
