Job Description
The Contracts Manager is responsible for the full lifecycle management of Government and commercial contracts in support of Ondas Sentinel programs. This role ensures compliance with applicable U.S. federal regulations, including FAR, DFARS, other agency-specific requirements, and international regulations as applicable, while supporting business objectives through effective contract negotiation, administration, and risk mitigation.
The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong business acumen and a disciplined, detail-oriented approach to contract execution. They bring deep knowledge of government contracting, excel at identifying and mitigating risk, and use effective negotiation and influence to achieve favorable outcomes while maintaining regulatory compliance. Success in this role requires cross-functional collaboration across legal, finance, supply chain, and program management teams.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the preparation, review, negotiation, and administration of contracts, subcontracts, and related agreements, applying strong attention to detail and organizational discipline.

  • Ensure regulatory compliance with FAR, DFARS, and other applicable federal, state, and international requirements.

  • Serve as the primary contracts interface with customers, prime contractors, and subcontractors.

  • Support proposal development by reviewing RFPs, identifying contractual risks, and advising on mitigation strategies to protect program and business objectives.

  • Develop and implement strategic negotiation plans, using sound business judgment and influence to achieve favorable terms and conditions.

  • Manage contract changes, modifications, claims, and dispute resolution.

  • Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on contractual obligations, risk exposure, and compliance requirements, enabling informed decision-making.

  • Partner cross-functionally with Program Management to ensure contract performance aligns with scope, schedule, and cost objectives.

  • Support audits and reviews (e.g., DCMA, DCAA) and ensure disciplined documentation, record retention, and traceability.

  • Mentor junior contracts professionals and program managers and contribute to process improvements and best practices.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Law, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in government contracts management within the defense or aerospace industry.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and U.S. Government contracting principles.

  • Experience managing prime contracts and subcontracts for DoD and/or Space/NASA programs.

  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree, Juris Doctor (JD), or relevant advanced degree.

  • Professional certification such as CPCM (Certified Professional Contracts Manager) or NCMA certification.

  • Experience with classified programs and handling controlled unclassified information (CUI).

  • Familiarity with international contracting (ITAR/EAR compliance).

  • Experience working in a matrixed organization supporting multiple programs.
