Are you experienced with ACCME accreditation requirements and comfortable managing educational programs and events from concept through execution? If you thrive in a remote environment and enjoy bringing high-quality educational programs to life, we\'d like to hear from you.

      The Ohio State Medical Association (OSMA) is the leading voice of physicians, residents, and medical students in Ohio. Established in 1846, OSMA proactively and persistently advocates for effective healthcare policy outcomes, provides professional development opportunities for physicians, and promotes useful resources that advance patient care and the medical profession. OSMA represents nearly 16,000 physicians, residents, and medical students across the state.

      Salary Range: $75,000 - $85,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Additional consideration may be available for highly qualified candidates with extensive relevant experience.

      Location: Remote-first position with access to the Columbus office as needed. Occasional travel, evening meetings, and weekend event support may be required.

      Job Description

      The Ohio State Medical Association (OSMA) is seeking a Director of Education & Events to lead the planning and execution of accredited and non-accredited educational programs for physicians and healthcare professionals across Ohio. As OSMA continues to expand its impact as a trusted source of continuing education for physicians and their teams, this role will help shape and deliver the programs that support that mission. This role serves as the organization\'s primary resource for continuing medical education (CME), physician education programs, and ACCME-accredited educational activities, leads specialty society meetings and educational events, and helps ensure OSMA maintains its ACCME accreditation.

      As the Director of Education & Events, you will:

      • Lead the planning and execution of accredited and non-accredited educational programs, conferences, webinars, and specialty society meetings.
      • Partner with physicians, planning committees, specialty societies, and speakers to develop educational content, annual meetings, and learning opportunities.
      • Own the full event lifecycle, including contracts, venues, registration, audiovisual needs, food and beverage, marketing coordination, and onsite execution.
      • Maintain OSMA\'s ACCME accreditation and serve as the organization\'s lead resource for CME compliance, reporting, and continuing education credit processes.
      • Develop and manage budgets, monitor expenses, and support revenue generation through sponsors, exhibitors, and educational partnerships.
      • Build relationships with physicians, specialty societies, sponsors, exhibitors, vendors, and other stakeholders.
      • Evaluate program effectiveness and identify opportunities to enhance future educational offerings.
      • Collaborate with OSMA staff and cross-functional partners to support organizational goals and member engagement.
      Qualifications

      Qualifications

      • Bachelor\'s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
      • Five to seven years of experience in continuing education, event management, association management, healthcare, or a related field.
      • Proven experience planning and managing continuing education programs, conferences, meetings, or webinars.
      • Experience managing ACCME-accredited CME programs, including accreditation compliance, reporting, and CME program administration preferred.
      • Experience managing budgets, vendor relationships, and contracts.
      • Experience working with medical associations, specialty societies, healthcare organizations, physicians, sponsors, exhibitors, and familiarity with the PARS reporting system is a plus.
      • Strong project management, communication, and organizational skills.
      • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and virtual meeting platforms such as Zoom or GoToWebinar.
      • Ability to work independently and successfully in a remote environment.
