Job description

Job Title: Project Manager, Facilities Location: Atlanta, GA Type: 6 month contract, with potential for extension Compensation: $55.00 - $65.00 Work Model: Onsite

Overview This contract Project Manager, Facilities role supports the Facilities Manager and facilities team in Atlanta, GA (onsite, 40 hours/week) by leading day-to-day project management for commercial office/building initiatives, including defining scope and deliverables, building and managing schedules, facilitating stakeholder updates, removing roadblocks, mitigating risk, tracking resources, and managing budgets/forecasts and change orders. The ideal candidate brings 3–5+ years of project management experience in a commercial office/building management or facilities environment, holds an active PMP, and can help the team formalize and apply consistent project management best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Facilities Manager and Facilities team with project management activities
  • Plan, develop, and define project scopes, timelines, outcomes, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders
  • Manage project timelines, remove barriers, mitigate risks, manage workflow, and hold regular progress update meetings with stakeholders
  • Oversee project budgets, manage change orders, mitigate cost overruns, and maintain alignment with leadership through updated forecasts and adherence to budget procedures
  • Track resource allocation and identify workforce challenges impacting project execution
  • Evaluate project performance, facilitate lessons learned, and apply insights to enhance future projects
  • Develop change and communication plans to ensure stakeholder awareness and satisfaction
  • Assist in establishing best practices in project management tailored to the types of projects handled by the Facilities team

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a commercial office space as a project manager, within building management, or facilities management team
  • PMP certification required
