Job description

Company: Voltline Atlanta LLC

Location: Atlanta, GA (Metro Area)

Job Type: Full-Time / Permanent

Compensation: Executive Salary + Performance Bonuses + Equity Options (negotiable based on experience)

Company Overview

Voltline Atlanta is not your traditional electrical contracting firm. We are a hyper-modern, tech-driven electrical contractor leveraging next-generation AI and proprietary enterprise software to deliver unmatched transparency, efficiency, and elite service. Operating across the Metro Atlanta area, we specialize in high-margin residential systems (EV charging infrastructure, smart panels, and whole-home automation), while rapidly scaling into robust commercial developments and municipal projects. We are looking for an elite technical leader to secure our corporate licensing and anchor our field operations.

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled, forward-thinking Master Electrician to serve as the Qualifying Agent for Voltline Atlanta. In this pivotal role, you will hold and maintain the company's Georgia Class II (Unrestricted) Electrical Contractor License, enabling our organization to bid, permit, and execute projects of any scale, phase, or voltage across the state.

Beyond compliance, you will act as the technical backbone of our field operations, collaborating closely with ownership to refine our proprietary software platform, mentor junior technicians, and uphold strict National Electrical Code (NEC) and OSHA safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Licensing & Compliance (Qualifying Agent)

  • Serve as the official Qualifying Agent for Voltline Atlanta, ensuring all business operations strictly align with the requirements of the Georgia State Construction Industry Licensing Board.
  • Maintain an active, unblemished Georgia Class II (Unrestricted) Electrical Contractor License.
  • Authorize, review, and pull electrical permits across all Metro Atlanta municipalities (City of Atlanta, Fulton, Cobb, DeKalb, Gwinnett, etc.).

2. Field Leadership & Technical Oversight

  • Provide master-level technical guidance on complex residential, three-phase commercial, and municipal electrical infrastructure projects.
  • Conduct rigorous quality control audits on jobsites to guarantee flawless craftsmanship and absolute code compliance.
  • Lead company-wide training programs, ensuring field technicians stay ahead of the curve on the latest National Electrical Code (NEC) updates and safety mandates.

3. Tech-Forward Innovation

  • Act as a core consultant to our software development team, field-testing and optimizing our proprietary AI-powered operations application.
  • Interface with cutting-edge residential and commercial technologies, including smart panel deployments (e.g., SPAN, Leviton), advanced EV charging networks, and automated energy management grids.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Licensing: Must possess a valid, active Georgia Class II (Unrestricted) Electrical Contractor License in good standing. (Willingness to formally assign the license to Voltline Atlanta LLC as the Qualifying Agent is a absolute requirement).
  • Experience: Minimum of 5–7 years of verified experience operating as a lead electrician or field administrator on both comprehensive residential upgrades and heavy commercial/three-phase industrial projects.
  • Code Mastery: Absolute expert-level knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC), NFPA 70E safety standards, and local Metro Atlanta building codes.
  • Tech Literacy: Comfortable working with iPads, modern field service software, and interacting with AI-driven scheduling/diagnostic tools. Must possess a mindset that embraces technology over traditional paper-and-pencil logging.
  • Leadership: Exceptional communication and mentoring skills, with a proven track record of managing and scaling field crews.
  • Clean Record: Valid Georgia Driver’s License with a clean driving record; must pass standard background checks and drug screenings.

What We Offer

  • Highly competitive base salary commensurate with executive responsibility.
  • Performance-based bonuses tied to operational efficiency and revenue targets.
  • Premium commercial vehicle/truck allowance or company-provided vehicle.
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision benefits.
  • The unique opportunity to shape a high-tech startup, with potential for long-term equity or profit-sharing as the software and brand scale statewide.
