Job description

ERP System Administrator

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced ERP System Administrator to support a mission-critical construction ERP environment. This ERP System Administrator will step into a high-impact, interim role focused on maintaining system stability and driving process improvements within a Trimble/Viewpoint Spectrum ecosystem. The ideal ERP System Administrator is hands-on, solution-oriented, and comfortable navigating a fast-paced environment with limited documentation.

This opportunity offers flexibility for remote or onsite work and provides strong visibility across the organization, interacting with stakeholders from operations through executive leadership.

Core Responsibilities
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all ERP-related break/fix issues, resolving daily system challenges in a timely manner (approximately 75% of workload)
  • Troubleshoot and correct issues related to general ledger postings, payroll processing, equipment usage, and data inconsistencies
  • Partner with accounting, project management, and operations teams to identify and resolve back-end system errors
  • Analyze existing workflows and implement improvements or automation where appropriate (approximately 25% of workload)
  • Support and maintain reporting functions, including Crystal Reports and Excel-based tools such as InfoLink
  • Provide high-quality, customer-facing support across all organizational levels
  • Operate as a self-sufficient ERP System Administrator, diagnosing system issues independently without extensive documentation

Core Competencies & Skills

Required Qualifications:

  • Extensive hands-on experience with Trimble/Viewpoint Spectrum ERP
  • Proven background working in the construction industry, with strong understanding of payroll, GL, and equipment workflows
  • Ability to independently manage system troubleshooting, workflow design, and ERP optimization
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Demonstrated success in a similar ERP System Administrator role

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Power BI for reporting and analytics
  • Knowledge of Crystal Reports development and management
  • Experience utilizing InfoLink or similar ERP-integrated Excel reporting tools

Work Environment & Culture
  • Highly collaborative and team-oriented environment with cross-functional engagement
  • Casual dress code and approachable, down-to-earth culture
  • Opportunity for direct interaction with leadership and meaningful contribution to business operations
  • Emphasis on communication, teamwork, and customer serviceโ€”this is not a back-office-only position

Schedule & Location
  • Core support hours: 8:00 AM โ€“ 4:30 PM Mountain Time
  • Flexible workload: 25โ€“40 hours per week
  • Remote flexibility available, with preference for onsite collaboration when feasible

Compensation
  • Market-competitive compensation based on experience and expertise
  • Flexible structure for contract, project-based, or potential contract-to-hire engagement

Why This Opportunity

This ERP System Administrator role offers a unique opportunity to step into a business-critical environment, stabilize core systems, and drive meaningful change. The right ERP System Administrator will make an immediate impact while helping shape the future state of ERP processes and workflows.

If youโ€™re a highly skilled ERP System Administrator looking for a dynamic, high-impact role, this opportunity offers both flexibility and the ability to drive real operational improvement.
