What is remote Epic Go Live Support?

Remote Epic Go Live Support refers to providing virtual assistance to healthcare organizations during the rollout of Epic electronic health record (EHR) systems. Professionals in this role help clinical and administrative staff navigate the new software, troubleshoot issues, and answer questions in real-time, all from a remote location. This type of support ensures a smoother transition during the critical go-live phase, minimizing disruptions to patient care and daily operations. Remote support is often delivered via phone, chat, or video conferencing, and can be more cost-effective and flexible compared to on-site support.

What skills and qualifications are needed for remote Epic Go Live Support?

Success as a Remote Epic Go Live Support specialist requires in-depth knowledge of Epic EHR systems, experience in healthcare IT, and often certification such as Epic Credentialed Trainer or Epic Certified Analyst. Familiarity with remote support tools, ticketing systems, and strong technical troubleshooting skills are essential. Outstanding communication, patience, and problem-solving abilities help guide end users and resolve issues efficiently from a distance. These skills ensure a smooth go-live process, minimize disruptions for healthcare providers, and support the effective adoption of new technology.
