Job Title: Epic Grand Central Analyst
Location: Remote (Anywhere in California)
Job Type: Contract - Long Term
Experience: 6+ years overall; 3+ years with Epic applications
Job Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced Epic Grand Central Analyst to support the implementation, optimization, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of Epic's Grand Central application. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in patient access, ADT, registration, and hospital workflows, and will collaborate closely with clinical, operational, and IT stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
  • Configure, maintain, and optimize Epic Grand Central functionality based on business and operational requirements.
  • Support ADT (Admission, Discharge, Transfer) and patient access workflows.
  • Analyze existing workflows and recommend improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Gather, document, and translate business requirements into Epic system solutions.
  • Troubleshoot application issues and coordinate timely resolution.
  • Participate in Epic upgrades, enhancements, testing, and new functionality rollouts.
  • Develop and execute test plans - unit, integrated, regression, and UAT.
  • Collaborate with Epic Prelude, Cadence, Orders, and clinical/inpatient application teams.
  • Create and maintain documentation, workflow diagrams, configuration specs, and support procedures.
  • Provide end-user support, training, and knowledge transfer.
  • Support go-live, deployment, and post-production activities.
Required Skills
  • Hands-on experience with Epic Grand Central
  • Strong understanding of ADT, patient registration, admission, discharge, and transfer workflows
  • Experience with hospital/patient access workflows and healthcare operations
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience gathering requirements from business and clinical stakeholders
  • Experience with testing, upgrades, implementations, and production support
Preferred Skills
  • Epic Grand Central certification strongly preferred
  • Experience with Epic Prelude and/or Cadence
  • Experience supporting large or complex hospital Epic environments
  • Epic certification in related modules is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Healthcare Informatics, or related field
Location & Work Model
Fully remote - candidates must be based in or available to work California hours.
