Torch Clean Energy is a leading renewable energy developer focused on accelerating the transition to a clean energy future. We specialize in the development, financing, construction, and operation of utility-scale solar, wind, and energy storage projects across the United States. In January of 2025, Torch entered into a joint venture partnership with Morgan Stanley Infrastructure partners to develop, construct, and operate our existing pipeline of projects and to acquire additional assets prior to the start of construction.

Position Summary

Torch Clean Energy is seeking a highly motivated and experienced EPC Project Manager to manage multiple solar, storage, substation, and/or transmission line projects from late development through initial operation. This role reports directly to the Senior Vice President of Engineering, Procurement and Construction, and will be based out of our Boulder, CO office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accountable for multiple solar, storage, substation, and/or transmission line projects from late development through initial operation.
  • Foster and manage contractor, landowner, AHJ and utility relationships throughout construction and commissioning.
  • Coordinate and manage project teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Oversee project work and ensure deliverables meet consistent quality standards and contractual obligations.
  • Evaluate project health and take decisive corrective action when necessary.
  • Manage uncertainty and originate creative solutions to prevent scope creep and reduce change orders.
  • Provide concise reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure timely invoicing and project cash flow.

Qualifications

Preferred Experience:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of direct experience in the utility scale renewable energy industry
  • Practical knowledge of project management principles and methodologies
  • Strong working knowledge of QA/QC programs and processes
  • Project management software/tools and Microsoft Office
  • Contract negotiation and management
  • Managing complex and/or multi-discipline projects

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical, business, or project management related field preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership, organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Attention to detail and strong ability to multitask
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-moving team environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to travel 25%
