Job description

WE BUILT OUR FIRM TO WORK DIFFERENTLY.

We're a fully remote, women-led trademark practice representing multinational and high-profile clients, and we measure our attorneys by outcomes, not billable hours. Right now, our enforcement and dispute caseload is growing faster than we can staff it. We need a trademark attorney ready to own it end to end — prosecution and enforcement both, not just whichever lane you were boxed into before.

TRADEMARK ATTORNEY

Compensation: Starting base rate at $150,000 (commensurate with portable book of business) + Bonus Eligible

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM ET

Responsibilities

  • Draft and negotiate cease-and-desist letters, and manage enforcement matters from initial demand through resolution
  • Represent clients in oppositions and cancellations before the TTAB.
  • Manage global trademark portfolios spanning prosecution, monitoring, and enforcement
  • Conduct trademark searches and clearances, and respond to office actions
  • Advise clients on trademark strategy, including application, opposition, enforcement, and monitoring
  • Communicate clearly with clients regarding processes, legal risks, and recommended next steps
  • Manage multiple files independently while meeting deadlines
  • Participate in team calls, reporting, and collaborative problem-solving

Qualifications

  • Minimum 4-6+ years of trademark experience, with a genuine mix of prosecution and enforcement work
  • First Chair experience with TTAB proceedings — oppositions and cancellations
  • Experience drafting cease-and-desist letters and managing enforcement matters
  • Big law experience preferred but not required; must demonstrate practical trademark expertise
  • Ability to think critically and provide strategic counsel ("show your math" approach)
  • Strong client-facing communication: clear, concise, and professional
  • Self-starter with strong time management skills in a remote environment
  • Experience managing global trademark portfolios is a plus

Desired Attributes / Culture Fit

  • Entrepreneurial mindset; able to take initiative and manage work independently
  • Team player who contributes positively to firm culture
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment where priorities can shift
  • High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills

Benefits

  • Fully remote work with flexible scheduling
  • Base salary + quarterly bonus eligibility based on KPI performance
  • Full healthcare (medical, dental, vision – Blue Cross)
  • Life Insurance, STD, LTD, and AD&D coverage
  • 401K with Safe Harbor (no match)
  • Paid Time Off (PTO):
  • 2 weeks (Years 1–2)
  • 3 weeks (Years 3–5)
  • 4 weeks (5+ years)
  • Additional Paid Leaves: Jury Duty, Voting, Military, Bereavement, Maternity/Parental

Other Perks:

  • Summer Half-Day Fridays
  • Birthdays Off
  • Payment of Bar Dues
  • INTA Membership
  • Quarterly performance reviews and growth conversations

Our Core Values

  • Diversity & Women-Led Leadership.
  • Collaboration & Teamwork.
  • Work/Life Balance & Flexibility.
  • Business-Focused Legal Counsel.
  • Efficiency Over Billable Hours.
