Job description

Change Lives. Build Your Legacy. Practice Family Law That Matters.

The best family law attorneys know their work is about far more than statutes, pleadings, and courtrooms.

It’s about helping parents protect their children. Guiding individuals through some of life’s most difficult transitions. Providing clarity when the path forward feels uncertain. And giving clients the confidence to make important decisions about their future.

At C.E. Borman & Associates, we believe exceptional legal representation starts with exceptional people.

We combine strategic advocacy with genuine compassion to help families navigate challenging circumstances and move forward with confidence.

We’re looking for an experienced Family Law Attorney who is a strong litigator, thinks strategically, communicates confidently, and takes genuine pride in helping clients through difficult moments.

If you’re looking for a firm where your expertise is respected, your professional growth is encouraged, and your work can genuinely change lives, we’d love to meet you.

Why You’ll Love Working Here:

We believe great attorneys do their best work when they have the right combination of autonomy, support, and flexibility.

When you join C.E. Borman & Associates, you’ll have:

  • $160,000 base compensation + performance-based bonuses

  • Hybrid remote/on-site work with a consistent schedule

  • Autonomy over your caseload with an experienced support team behind you

  • A collaborative, outcome-focused work environment

  • Supportive leadership that values professional judgment and initiative

  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance for employees and dependents

  • Generous paid leave and vacation time

  • Paid holidays

  • A positive, uplifting workplace culture

  • Opportunities to grow your reputation and build a long-term career in family law

The Opportunity:

This is an opportunity to practice family law at a high level while having the support and resources necessary to do your best work. You’ll take ownership of your cases, develop thoughtful legal strategies, advocate for your clients, and serve as a trusted advisor throughout the legal process.

You’ll also be part of a team that understands that strong legal advocacy and compassionate client service are not competing priorities. They’re both essential to exceptional family law.

Compensation:

$160,000 plus performance-based bonuses

Responsibilities:
What You’ll Do:

As a Family Law Attorney, you will:

  • Manage family law matters from initial case strategy through trial and resolution
  • Develop and execute effective legal strategies tailored to each client’s circumstances, priorities, and goals
  • Serve as the primary legal advocate and trusted point of contact for your clients
  • Represent clients in mediations, depositions, hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings
  • Prepare clients, expert witnesses, and other parties for depositions, hearings, mediation, and trial
  • Draft and review pleadings, motions, discovery, settlement agreements, and other legal documents
  • Conduct legal research and apply the law strategically to complex family law matters
  • Negotiate effectively while protecting your clients’ interests
  • Communicate clearly and consistently with clients throughout their cases
  • Collaborate with paralegals and support staff to keep cases organized and moving forward
  • Identify creative solutions to complex legal and client challenges
  • Contribute to a culture of teamwork, professionalism, excellence, and client-focused advocacy

Qualifications:What We’re Looking For:

We’re looking for an attorney who combines strong litigation skills with strategic thinking, resilience, and genuine compassion for clients.

You’ll be a strong fit if you have:

  • An active Texas law license and membership in good standing with the State Bar of Texas

  • At least 3 years of hands-on family law experience

  • Strong family law litigation and courtroom experience

  • Excellent legal research, writing, negotiation, and advocacy skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities

  • Confidence representing clients and advocating effectively in high-stakes situations

  • Proficiency with legal technology, including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Dropbox, and digital legal research platforms

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills

  • The ability to manage competing priorities and move cases forward efficiently

  • A resilient, solutions-oriented mindset

  • Creative problem-solving skills and a willingness to think beyond conventional approaches

  • A collaborative attitude and commitment to team success

  • A strong work ethic and genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of clients

What Success Looks Like:

Success in this role means more than winning cases.

It means becoming the attorney your clients trust when their lives feel uncertain.

You’ll thrive here when you:

  • Take ownership of your cases and deliver exceptional legal work

  • Develop strategic approaches that move matters toward meaningful resolution

  • Advocate confidently while treating every client with dignity and respect

  • Build strong relationships through clear, consistent communication

  • Stay resilient and focused when cases become challenging

  • Think creatively when conventional solutions aren’t enough

  • Collaborate with your team and contribute to a positive workplace

  • Continue growing as both an attorney and a leader

Benefits:

Your total compensation package includes:

  • $160,000 base salary

  • Performance-based bonuses

  • Health insurance, with 75% of employee coverage paid by the employer

  • Dental insurance

  • Vision insurance

  • Life insurance

  • Short-term disability

  • Long-term disability

  • 2% IRA contribution

  • PTO accrual

  • Paid holidays

  • Hybrid remote/on-site work

Do Work That Matters

Family law attorneys have a unique opportunity to influence what comes next for the people they represent. When you help a parent protect their relationship with their child, guide a client through a difficult transition, or give someone the clarity they need to move forward, your work matters long after the case is closed.
