Hybrid work policy: 3 days in-office in Santa Monica, LA or Lipstick Building, NYC (flexible — some attorneys are 2 days; fully remote considered for the right person)
About this role

We are looking for a Senior Litigator with 10+ years of experience to handle commercial and entertainment litigation matters at a top-ranked boutique law firm. This is an opportunity to join a highly profitable, entrepreneurial platform where you can service existing firm clients while building your own practice — with significant origination compensation upside and a clear path to partnership.

What will you be doing?

  • Working collaboratively with the 8-9 person litigation department in New York, with ready-to-go staff support from day one
  • Servicing existing firm clients (particularly in music/entertainment) while leveraging Reitler's platform to grow your own book of business
  • Taking a leadership role as the first litigator in the LA office or bolstering the NY litigation team
  • Drafting pleadings, briefs, settlement agreements, mediation statements, and handling trial preparation

Key Requirements

  • Admitted to the California Bar (for LA) or New York Bar (for NY) — non-negotiable
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and willingness to be a self-starter, especially if joining the LA office as the first litigator
  • Proven commercial litigation experience; entertainment or IP litigation background is ideal
  • Portable business of $1M–$1.5M preferred, but candidates with smaller books or strong business development potential will be considered
  • Lateral hire with substantial experience — must be able to hit the ground running without extensive training

Draft pleadings, briefs, letters, settlement agreements, memoranda, stipulations, and mediation statements
