In this remote role, you will play a critical part in providing comprehensive mental health services, including crisis intervention, assessment, therapy, treatment planning, and case management to our diverse adult client population.

Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Professional Counselor at Assisted Hand Medical Group, your responsibilities will include:

  • Engaging actively in group and individual supervision sessions to enhance professional development and ensure quality of care.
  • Collaborating with the Oregon Health Authority to collect and report enrollment and discharge data specifically for clients undergoing treatment for problem gambling, ensuring compliance and effective tracking.
  • Coordinating joint case planning with community agencies such as schools, group homes, police organizations, and health clinics to provide seamless care and address behavioral health needs.
  • Delivering educational sessions about behavioral health and addiction prevention to various groups within the community to spread awareness and understanding.
  • Participating in trainings, meetings, and conferences as directed, using gained knowledge to enhance agency practices and directly improve client service.
  • Contributing to the development, implementation, and maintenance of quality assurance (QA) and quality improvement (QI) plans, including the establishment of necessary policies and procedures.
  • Executing other relevant responsibilities as assigned to meet the evolving needs of the agency and our clients.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on working with an adult population dealing with various mental health challenges, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, trauma, and addiction. You will be instrumental in building therapeutic relationships that foster trust and encourage client growth and recovery.

Qualifications

To qualify for this role, you must possess:

  • A Doctor of Psychology (PhD or PsyD), a Master of Social Work (MSW), a Master's in Professional Counseling, or a Master's in Family Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • Active licensure as a Professional Counselor in the state of Oregon and/or Washington.
  • A strong understanding of mental health principles and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
Preferred Experience

We prefer candidates with at least three years of direct counseling experience, particularly within outpatient settings. Experience collaborating with community agencies and a knowledge of problem gambling treatment would be advantageous.
