Job description

Job Type:Regular

People are at the heart of our success. Our culture encourages collaboration, transparency, and accountability in order to generate value and achieve sustainable results. Being part of the team means committing to an environment where everyone's impact truly matters.

At Agropur, each role aims to generate value and have a tangible impact on collective performance.

As a Demand Planner, you will be responsible for forecasting and managing demand for Canadian customers across a portfolio of products. You will leverage historical data analysis, customer data, and market trends, and work cross-functionally to develop an accurate demand plan for the organization.

As part of a major digital transformation, you will contribute to optimizing the use of the ERP system (IBP / SAP) and reducing reliance on manual tools. You will work closely with the internal sales team to effectively integrate promotions and commercial initiatives into the demand plan, which will support production and inventory planning, reduce product losses, and contribute to achieving the organization's objectives.

Context to maximize your impact:

  • Recognition of years of service for vacation calculation;
  • Flexible remote work options;
  • Flexible group insurance plan including telemedicine services;
  • Employee assistance program;
  • Opportunities to invest in yourself (career development, etc.);
  • Annual bonus;
  • Pension plan with company contributions;
  • Salary scale 005: $84 600$ to $127 000 (Base salary will be determined based on your academic background, experience, training, and skills related to the position.)

Where you will drive value:

  • Develop and maintain a rolling 18-24-month demand forecast.
  • Lead regular forecasting and demand review sessions with the internal sales team and cross-functional partners to align on the future demand plan.
  • Proactively identify demand risks and issues, addressing them constructively and escalating when appropriate.
  • Provide insights into root causes of forecast errors and implement corrective actions to drive continuous improvement.
  • Drive improvements to the forecasting process through rigorous analysis using historical data and in-depth knowledge of the business, changing the forecast model to meet business needs as required.
  • Track, analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), recommending and implementing actions to improve forecasting accuracy and best practices.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of forecasting tools, processes, and methodologies (SAP, IBP solutions or equivalent).
  • Act as an ambassador of digital transformation by promoting ERP tool adoption and the standardization of best practices.

What will enable you to have an impact:

  • Three (3) plus years of relevant experience in demand planning and/or supply chain.
  • Proven experience (minimum of 3 years) actively using an ERP system in a supply chain environment; SAP IBP is a strong asset.
  • University degree in supply chain management, logistics, business, mathematics, or engineering.
  • Advanced proficiency in analytical and planning tools (Excel, SAP, or other ERP systems).
  • Excellent communication skills and strong cross-functional collaboration abilities.
  • Experience in the manufacturing industry is an asset.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complex or challenging situations.
  • Bilingualism required: proficiency in English is necessary due to frequent interactions with pan-Canadian English-speaking partners. An advanced level of spoken and written English is required.

A role aligned with what creates the greatest collective impact.
