Senior Structural Steel Detailer (Tekla Structures)

Location: Remote (U.S.)
Company: Bridge Brothers

About Bridge Brothers

Bridge Brothers is a leading manufacturer specializing in the design, engineering, fabrication, and construction of custom steel bridges. We partner with municipalities, national parks, energy companies, private developers, and other specialized clients to deliver complex, one-of-a-kind bridge solutions across the United States.

Our work is highly engineered, custom, and anything but repetitive. Every project presents unique challenges that require collaboration, technical expertise, and attention to detail. As one of the fastest-growing bridge companies in the country, we're continuing to invest in our engineering and detailing teams to support long-term growth.

Position Summary

Bridge Brothers is seeking an experienced Senior Structural Steel Detailer to join our growing detailing team.

This is a hands-on technical role responsible for creating detailed 3D models and fabrication drawings that directly support manufacturing and field installation. You'll work closely with engineering, fabrication, and project management to ensure our detailing is accurate, efficient, and production-ready.

This position is focused on technical executionโ€”not people managementโ€”and is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex structural challenges while producing high-quality work.

Professional experience with Tekla Structures is required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop detailed 3D structural steel models using Tekla Structures
  • Produce fabrication, assembly, and erection drawings
  • Interpret engineering drawings and specifications into fabrication-ready deliverables
  • Coordinate with engineering to resolve detailing conflicts and improve constructability
  • Partner with fabrication and project teams to support efficient manufacturing and field installation
  • Perform quality checks to ensure models and drawings are complete and accurate
  • Revise models based on engineering changes, RFIs, and production feedback
  • Help improve detailing standards, workflows, and modeling efficiency
  • Utilize Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, Gmail, etc.) for documentation and collaboration
Qualifications
  • Associate degree or equivalent experience in drafting, detailing, engineering technology, construction, or fabrication
  • 3+ years of structural steel detailing experience
  • Professional Tekla Structures experience is required
  • Strong understanding of structural steel fabrication, shop drawings, connections, and erection sequencing
  • Experience supporting fabrication through detailed production drawings
  • Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining a high level of accuracy
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working in a remote environment
What We Offer
  • Fully remote position (U.S.)
  • Competitive compensation based on experience
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Paid time off and company holidays
  • Opportunity to work on complex, custom structural steel bridge projects
  • Strong career growth as our engineering and detailing organization continues to expand
  • Collaborative team with direct access to engineering, fabrication, and executive leadership
Why Bridge Brothers?

This is an opportunity to join one of the fastest-growing bridge companies in the country while working on challenging, one-of-a-kind projects from anywhere in the U.S. You'll play a key role in delivering high-quality structural steel detailing that directly impacts fabrication and construction, all within a collaborative environment that values technical excellence, ownership, and continuous improvement.

If you're an experienced Tekla Detailer looking for meaningful projects, long-term growth, and the flexibility of a remote role, we'd love to hear from you.
