Remote Core Solutions provides outsourcing solutions. Our client companies range from small businesses to large corporations, and we pride ourselves on matching candidates with roles where they can thrive and make a significant impact.
The candidate must have a thorough understanding of mechanical system distributions for industrial/commercial applications to be installed by mechanical contractors. This is a unique position seeking a mechanical engineering candidate that can support our Nashville, TN mechanical operations primarily working out of Troy, MI but with occasional travel to our Nashville Office and or Job Sites.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design and coordinate all mechanical distribution systems meeting project specifications
Occasionally review and oversee layout work performed by un-licensed engineers on staff
Occasionally manage and schedule 3D modelers/2D Drafters (VDC/BIM modelers) on staff
Review, edit and write project specifications
Generate and/or review production submittals against project specifications
Assist in estimating process for mechanical contractor by attending walk throughs, defining scope, and generating bill of materials
QUALIFICATIONS:
Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Must be a registered Professional Engineer (PE) licensed in a U.S. state.
Candidate must have 2-5 years minimum experience with mechanical contracting company (preferred) and/or Architectural/Engineering firm
Experience with reviewing, editing and writing project specifications
Experience with generating and/or reviewing production submittals against project specifications
Experience with walk throughs, defining scope and generating bill of materials
Self-directed
Candidate must possess strong communication skills
Strong skills in Revit (or other compatible software) are required
