• Conduct thorough initial evaluations of new patients, carefully assessing their mental and emotional health while developing individualized treatment plans tailored to their unique circumstances.
• Engage with patients in active listening to fully understand their challenges and concerns, diagnosing mental health disorders using standardized criteria.
• Craft and implement comprehensive coping strategies and interventions to support patients in managing their trauma and fostering resilience.
• Continuously monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans based on effectiveness and evolving patient needs.
• Educate and empower both patients and staff regarding coping mechanisms for stress and trauma, fostering an informed community awareness.
• Coordinate care with other healthcare providers, social services, and community organizations to ensure a holistic approach to patient wellness, creating a network of support.
• Stay updated with the latest mental health practices and legislative changes by completing continuing education courses required for maintaining your National Certified Counselor certification.

The primary focus of this role is on individuals who have experienced trauma, whether from accidents, psychological distress, or critical life events. You will provide essential mental health support to a diverse clientele, guiding them through the complexities of their emotional responses and equipping them with tools to manage their symptoms effectively. • A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.
• A valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) credential.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience working specifically with trauma-affected patients.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office tools to facilitate reporting and patient interactions.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, essential for patient engagement and team collaboration.

• Experience with Salesforce and Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems is highly desirable, enhancing your ability to manage patient data efficiently.
• Prior exposure to telehealth environments and remote patient support is advantageous.
