Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations of clients' mental health needs to tailor individualized therapy strategies.
  • Deliver a variety of evidence-based therapeutic interventions to clients, which may include individual therapy, group sessions, family therapy, and couple's counseling.
  • Employ diverse therapeutic techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy to promote healing and progress.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to coordinate comprehensive care for clients with complex needs.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation in compliance with ethical and legal standards, ensuring confidentiality and client safety.
  • Engage in continuous professional development through workshops, trainings, and peer consultations to stay informed about advancements in mental health treatment.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role as an LPC will primarily focus on working with underserved communities, offering mental health services to individuals and families who may face barriers to accessing care. You will be instrumental in addressing a variety of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. Your compassionate approach will help clients navigate their challenges and work towards achieving their personal goals.

Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is required.
  • Active and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in Pennsylvania is mandatory.
  • A minimum of two years of clinical counseling experience is expected, with a focus on providing direct client care in a mental health setting.
  • Strong understanding of ethical and legal standards governing mental health practice is essential.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from $70,000 to $90,000, contingent upon experience and caseload availability.
