Positive Steps Consultancy is actively seeking a dedicated Senior Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) for a full-time remote position, focusing on empowering individuals and families in our community. Work Environment

This position offers a flexible remote work setting, allowing for a work-life balance that is crucial in the mental health field. The typical work week comprises regular business hours; however, candidates should be flexible to accommodate occasional evening and weekend hours for specific community events and programs, further enhancing our outreach efforts and support services.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of each client’s social, emotional, and psychological needs, ensuring a comprehensive understanding to tailor support accordingly.
• Provide individual and group counseling services by employing evidence-based therapeutic techniques suited to diverse situations.
• Design and implement personalized service plans that align with client objectives, utilizing a strengths-based approach that encourages resilience and empowerment.
• Act as an advocate for clients, ensuring their access to essential resources and addressing broader social justice issues that may impact their well-being.
• Contribute to the development and evaluation of programs, engaging in grant reporting to secure funding that supports our ongoing initiatives.
• Foster collaborative relationships with community organizations and government agencies to enhance resource availability and service delivery.
• Participate actively in team meetings, collaborate on training initiatives, and engage in community outreach efforts to further our mission.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The focus of this role is primarily on individuals experiencing substance use disorders and those requiring support in the detoxification process. As an LCSW in our detox center, you will work with diverse clients from various backgrounds who may also face accompanying mental health issues, trauma, or socioeconomic challenges. The goal is to promote healing and stability while equipping clients with the tools necessary for long-term recovery and empowerment.

Qualifications

• A Master's Degree in Social Work from an accredited program is required for this position.
• Must possess an active state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills are essential to navigate complex client needs and advocate effectively.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in a nonprofit environment, particularly in roles that involve direct client support and community engagement.
• Demonstrated knowledge of social justice principles, advocacy strategies, trauma-informed care practices, and familiarity with community resources.
• Previous experience in dependency and substance abuse counseling is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits
