You will serve as a FAMILY MEMBER EMPLOYMENT ASSISTANCE PROGRAM SPECIALIST in the PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT (P&PD) BRANCH of MARINE CORPS AIR GROUND COMBAT CTR.

Help
  • You will engage with civilian employers in the community to establish connections, explore employment opportunities, network, and foster community capacity building efforts for military spouses and family members.
  • You will perform a variety of administrative duties including maintaining attendance rosters for workshops and training, scheduling one-on-one meetings, interviewing and planning workshops schedules.
  • You will plan and coordinate Volunteer Recognition Ceremony for installation.
  • You will plan, organize, instruct and facilitate educational courses of high quality.
  • You will establish a safe and respectful environment that fosters effective learning and open communication to optimize engagement.

  • This position requires a Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA) Driver's license.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing counseling, transition assistance, referring clients in support of permanent change of station (PCS) transition goals/plans AND assisting/advising with career coaching, career readiness tools, resources and services.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience listed in the Qualifications section, applicants may qualify for the GS-11 position based on education OR equivalent combination of experience and education as follows:
Have successfully completed a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree.
