Job description

OrthoLoneStar is seeking a board-certified Neurologist with expertise in neurophysiology to join our remote neuromonitoring team. As an integral part of our organization, you will provide real-time interpretation of intraoperative neuromonitoring (IONM) studies to help optimize patient care across the State of Texas. 
Responsibilities 
The Neurologist - Interpreting Physician is responsible for real-time analysis of electrophysiological data generated during surgical procedures. You will collaborate closely with surgical teams and IONM technologists to support positive patient outcomes. 

Provide real-time interpretation of intraoperative neuromonitoring data and communicate findings directly to surgical teams 

  • Correlate electrophysiological findings with the patient's clinical status to support surgical decision-making 

  • Conduct comprehensive post-operative case reviews and complete detailed reports 

  • Contribute to quality assurance and improvement efforts to maintain high standards of neuromonitoring services 

  • Maintain current knowledge of advancements and best practices in neuromonitoring 


  • Board-certified Neurologist with expertise in electrophysiology 

  • Fellowship in intraoperative neuromonitoring required; a doctorate in the field is preferred 

  • Strong understanding of intraoperative neuromonitoring modalities (e.g., SSEPs, MEPs, BAERs, EMG) 

  • Knowledge of surgical procedures and perioperative care 

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills 

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills 

  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment 

  • Prior experience in IONM is strongly preferred
