As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with Kessler Counseling Center, you will:

• Conduct individual counseling sessions through secure video chat, focusing on enhancing clients' mental health and emotional well-being.
• Utilize your clinical expertise to evaluate clients’ mental conditions and develop tailored treatment plans, employing evidence-based techniques that align with a solution-focused methodology.
• Provide a supportive environment that encourages clients to discuss their emotions and personal experiences, thereby promoting self-advocacy and insights into their relationships.
• Actively advocate for clients' needs, helping them define realistic and achievable mental health goals.

Your work will be centered around a diverse group of clients who have been thoroughly screened prior to receiving services. You can expect to work with stable adults experiencing low-acuity mental health concerns, which allows for a rewarding and manageable caseload. To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology is required.
• Possession of a valid license to practice independently without supervision in the state of Washington, specifically as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
• Strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and a proactive attitude towards patient care.
• Proficiency with technology and computer systems to ensure smooth virtual counseling sessions.

Although not mandatory, candidates with experience in virtual counseling settings or those familiar with therapy platforms will have an advantage. Previous work with low-acuity adult populations and demonstrated success in achieving positive client outcomes are also beneficial.
