Elite Coast Psychotherapy Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our dynamic team. • Conduct thorough preliminary interviews and assessments to document client cases from initial consultations through treatment conclusion.
• Evaluate clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health, utilizing standardized assessment tools and clinical judgment.
• Design personalized intervention and recovery plans for individuals, couples, families, and groups, adapting approaches based on ongoing assessments and feedback.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, creating a safe space for clients to explore and express their thoughts and feelings.
• Monitor client progress throughout therapy, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Collaborate with other mental health professionals, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to develop cohesive intervention strategies and optimize client care.
• Follow up with clients admitted to hospital care, ensuring continuity of care and smooth transitions back to outpatient services.
• Identify potential risk factors and behaviors that could impede recovery, implementing strategies to mitigate these challenges.
• Support family members and primary caregivers in understanding and addressing mental health challenges within their loved ones.

Our counselors work with a diverse population, addressing a range of mental health concerns including anxiety, depression, trauma-related disorders, and substance abuse issues. Our clients often come from various backgrounds, allowing you to apply your skills in a meaningful way while helping to promote mental wellness within the community. Each interaction with clients is treated with the utmost respect and confidentiality, fostering a trusting therapeutic relationship.

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC/MHSP, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Tennessee.
• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE), National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE), or equivalent.
• A strong foundation in mental health counseling principles and practices, including various therapeutic modalities.
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR or similar platforms to document client interactions and treatments efficiently.
• A comprehensive understanding of the impact of physical health issues and addictions on mental health.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, along with strong interpersonal abilities to build rapport with clients.

• Previous experience working as a mental health counselor in a clinical or community setting is highly desirable.
• Proficient with therapeutic best practices set forth by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
• Knowledge of pharmacological treatments prescribed by medical professionals, and how they interact with mental health conditions.
