Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of clients to identify their unique mental health needs and develop personalized therapy strategies.
  • Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to diverse populations, including individuals, couples, and families, ensuring that treatments are tailored to meet clients' specific goals.
  • Utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy, to effectively address clients' mental health issues.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring that client information remains confidential and secure.
  • Engage in continuous professional development by participating in workshops, trainings, and other learning opportunities to remain informed about the latest advancements in mental health practices.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily serves individuals and families who have limited access to mental health services. The clientele may present a variety of challenges, including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, and substance abuse. As an LPC, you will play a crucial role in helping these clients overcome obstacles and achieve their mental health goals.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Active and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Texas.
  • A minimum of two years of counseling experience, preferably in a clinical setting, is required.
  • A strong grasp of ethical and legal standards in mental health practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team, supporting effective client care.
  • Proficiency in using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software and other relevant technologies.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience or specialization in family therapy, couples therapy, trauma-informed care, or substance misuse treatment is highly preferred.
  • Prior involvement in community mental health initiatives or outreach programs is a plus.
Compensation and Benefits
  • The annual salary for this position ranges from $70,000 to $90,000, commensurate with experience and caseload.
