Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations, including preliminary interviews and ongoing assessments, to document clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health.
  • Design and implement tailored treatment plans that consider the unique needs of individuals, couples, families, and group settings.
  • Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, employing current therapeutic techniques to drive engagement and recovery.
  • Monitor and document patient progress, collaborating with other healthcare professionals to adjust strategies and improve outcomes.
  • Manage referrals and coordinate care effectively by maintaining communication with psychiatrists and other providers, especially for clients requiring hospitalization.
  • Proactively identify and address factors that hinder recovery, assisting clients and their families in developing coping strategies.
  • Stay current on psychotherapy advancements, integrating evidence-based practices into your counseling approach.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Mental Health Counselor with Elite Coast Psychotherapy Services, you will work with a diverse client population, including individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, and other mental health disorders. Our commitment to providing inclusive care means we welcome clients from various backgrounds, utilizing culturally sensitive approaches to enhance their therapy experience.

Qualifications
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Nevada.
  • Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with adept interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently while being an integral part of a remote healthcare team.
Preferred Experience
  • Previous experience as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, preferably in a community health setting.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record systems, such as AVATAR, to maintain accurate patient records.
  • Expertise in working with a range of mental and emotional health conditions, along with addiction disorders.
  • Knowledge of best practices as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
  • Understanding of pharmacological treatments and their effects as related to mental health.
Compensation and Benefits
