Summary
You will serve as a ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN in the OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT, NAVAL AIR STATION OF OCEANA of NAS OCEANA.

  • You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, analyzing, troubleshooting, testing, repairing, modifying, adjusting, diagnosing, and running electronic systems to insure continuous, accurate and reliable operation.
  • You will lead micro-miniature module test and repair (2M/MTR) technician.
  • You will maintain all divisional supply records and plant/minor property custody records.
  • You will diagnose, isolate and correct malfunctions in on-line as well as standby systems with safe operation of the military and National Airspace System.
  • You will draw schematic diagrams of existing and future electronic facilities for record purposes in order to facilitate their economical and efficient repair.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
  • A relocation incentive is generally a single payment intended to offset some of the relocation costs experienced by the selectee. A relocation incentive may be authorized.
  • Certain incentives (such as Recruitment, Relocation or Student Loan Repayment) may be authorized to eligible selectees.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-08 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Utilizing computer theory and operation as it pertains to ATC systems for maintenance programming and diagnostic software 2) Using appropriate test equipment to determine the cause of malfunctions and take corrective action 3) Analyzing circuits, prepare detailed electronic schematics and wiring diagrams, and read blueprints and engineering drawings 4) Applying knowledge of electronic theory and principle
