Cape Hope Counseling Center is seeking compassionate and dedicated Licensed Mental Health Counselors, including LCMFT, LMFT, LCPC, and LCSW-C, to join our dynamic team in providing high-quality mental health care. This role is entirely remote, allowing for flexibility while maintaining productivity. You will work within a collaborative telehealth framework, using sophisticated electronic health record (EHR) systems to document patient progress and maintain communication with your colleagues. Despite the remote nature of the position, you will feel the camaraderie of a close-knit team committed to providing exceptional patient care. Our working hours are primarily Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility required to accommodate patient needs.

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to determine patients' specific needs and create individualized treatment plans tailored to their unique circumstances.
• Deliver a range of therapeutic interventions including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy for individuals, couples, and families.
• Facilitate psychoeducational groups to empower patients with knowledge and coping strategies while fostering a sense of community.
• Collaborate with psychiatric professionals and other team members to ensure an integrated approach to patient care, addressing all aspects of mental health.
• Provide crisis intervention and support for patients experiencing acute mental health emergencies.
• Educate clients about mental health issues, treatment options, and available resources within the community.
• Maintain precise and confidential documentation in accordance with legal, regulatory, and ethical guidelines.
• Participate in case reviews, team meetings, and training sessions to enhance clinical skills and contribute to professional growth.
• Stay informed about the latest research and advancements in mental health therapy to improve clinical practice.

As a mental health therapist at Cape Hope Counseling Center, you will serve a diverse patient population, which includes children, adolescents, adults, and families facing a variety of mental health challenges. Our clinic aims to provide equitable access to mental health services for individuals and families from different cultural, socio-economic, and educational backgrounds. Understanding and addressing the needs of this varied clientele is critical to your success in this role, as you will formulate tailored therapeutic approaches that resonate with each individual’s history and experiences.

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as LCMFT, LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW-C in the state of Maryland.
• Strong understanding of mental health disorders along with proficiency in evidence-based treatment modalities and therapeutic techniques.
• Proven experience in conducting mental health assessments and developing effective treatment strategies.
• Experience providing individual and group therapy to a diverse demographic.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the capacity to relate to clients in an empathetic manner.
• Adherence to ethical standards and professional boundaries.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and computer applications relevant to mental health practice.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

• Experience in a community health clinic or outpatient setting, particularly serving underrepresented populations.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed care practices and cultural competency in therapy.
• Previous involvement in program development or psychoeducational group facilitation.
• Advanced training or certification in specialized therapeutic modalities such as EMDR, art therapy, or play therapy.
