Qualifications
  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in New York State.
  • Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
  • Excelling in proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems, particularly AVATAR, to document client interactions and treatment progress efficiently.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of psychotherapeutic methods and best practices as endorsed by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on active listening and effective dialogue.
Preferred Experience
  • Previous clinical experience in mental health counseling, particularly with dual diagnosis clients, is highly desired.
  • Experience in utilizing evidence-based practices and interventions, alongside an understanding of addiction disorders.
