Key Responsibilities

• Conduct one-on-one, group, and family therapy sessions focused on clients’ diverse mental health concerns, utilizing therapeutic techniques that resonate best with each individual.
• Perform thorough diagnostic assessments and collaboratively create treatment plans tailored to meet each client's unique needs and goals.
• Work alongside an interdisciplinary team—including psychiatrists, social workers, and educators—to ensure a holistic approach to client care and to facilitate referrals as necessary.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential electronic health records using advanced systems, ensuring compliance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards.
• Participate in ongoing clinical supervision and continuing education, keeping abreast of advancements in mental health practices, to maintain licensure and enhance service delivery.
• Provide crisis intervention and conduct risk assessments, ensuring timely support and intervention for clients in acute distress.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clientele encompasses individuals across a wide spectrum of ages and backgrounds, facing various challenges including anxiety disorders, depression, PTSD, substance abuse issues, and interpersonal relationship conflicts. Counselors will have the opportunity to develop strong therapeutic alliances, facilitating growth and healing through personalized strategies.

Qualifications

• A master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is required.
• Current licensure as a mental health counselor in New York State.
• A minimum of two years of professional experience delivering mental health counseling services to individuals, couples, and families.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport, inspire trust, and work collaboratively in a remote setting.
• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health records (EHR) systems, ensuring efficient documentation and reporting.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits

Proactive Minds Counseling Services offers a competitive salary range of $90,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
