Job Overview:
Cambium Assessment (CAI) is a leading provider of K-12 assessment solutions, partnering with states and school districts to design, develop, deliver, score, and report high-quality assessments that measure student learning and support educational outcomes. CAI is committed to helping educators make informed decisions by providing actionable data and insights that improve teaching, learning, and student success. CAI is hiring an Assessment Editorial Assistant to work with other editors, operations/production staff, and various internal clients to proofread and perform quality-control checks on educational testing materials.
Location: Remote, US. Must live & work with United States.
Job Responsibilities:
The Editorial Assistant will primarily conduct online reviews to verify the accuracy and consistency of test booklet content. This work includes checking materials against established style and publishing requirements, including:
  • Chicago, AP, and APA style guidelines
  • State Department of Education publishing requirements
  • Client-specific style rules

Qualified candidates should demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize multiple projects and proofreading requests under high-pressure daily deadlines. Additional hours may be required during peak periods.
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, or a related field
  • Minimum of one year of proofreading or quality-control experience in a professional environment
  • Exceptional command of the English language, with excellent listening, writing, and oral communication skills
  • Superb attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and proofing requests under high-pressure daily deadlines
  • Ability to collaborate and work in a team environment
  • Proficiency in Word and experience using "Track Changes"
