What is a remote ediscovery professional?

A Remote Ediscovery professional is someone who manages the identification, collection, processing, and analysis of electronic data for legal cases, all while working from a remote location. These professionals support law firms, corporations, or government agencies in handling electronically stored information (ESI) relevant to litigation, investigations, or regulatory matters. Their work often involves using specialized software to organize, review, and produce digital evidence, ensuring compliance with legal standards and data privacy laws.

What are the qualifications to get a remote ediscovery job?

Required qualifications depend in part on the particular eDiscovery position. Those working as discovery analysts need at least a bachelor’s degree, but a graduate degree is beneficial. Necessary skills include strong logic, analytical, and communication skills. eDiscovery project managers need a bachelor’s degree and prior experience in the legal field, especially as related to eDiscovery. An associate consultant may need advanced legal or technical certifications or education. Employers prefer applicants with prior experience, familiarity with various email archive platforms, and excellent written and oral communication skills.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote ediscovery specialist, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote Ediscovery Specialist, you need a solid understanding of electronic discovery processes, legal procedures, and data management, usually supported by a degree in law, information technology, or a related field. Familiarity with eDiscovery platforms (such as Relativity or Logikcull), document review software, and certifications like CEDS (Certified E-Discovery Specialist) are often required. Excellent attention to detail, strong analytical thinking, and clear communication skills are vital for success in a remote environment. These competencies ensure accurate, efficient handling of sensitive legal data, compliance with regulations, and effective collaboration with legal teams.

What are the typical collaboration challenges faced by remote ediscovery professionals, and how can they be addressed?

Remote eDiscovery professionals often collaborate with legal teams, IT staff, and external vendors across different locations and time zones. Common challenges include coordinating workflows, maintaining secure and efficient communication, and ensuring the integrity of sensitive data. These can be addressed by using secure project management platforms, establishing clear protocols for information sharing, and scheduling regular virtual check-ins to keep all stakeholders aligned. Adapting to these practices helps foster teamwork and ensures a smooth eDiscovery process even in a fully remote setting.

Team Lead, Sales Engineering

Triple Whale

Raleigh, NC • On-site, Remote

$99K - $131K/yr

Full-time

Posted 8 days ago

Job description

What Do We Do?
Triple Whale is the AI operating system built for modern ecommmerce. We help you see what's actually working in your business, what's not, and what to do next. Then we take action for you - pausing the underperforming ad, generating the next batch of creative, flagging the inventory risk before it bites.
We pull every signal in your business into one place, and put it on the most trusted measurement foundation in the industry. And on top of that, we give you the most actionable AI in commerce - Moby 2 - letting you tap any LLM you want, grounded in the full context of your business. Moby 2 doesn't just surface insights, it executes decisions for you, with automations that make the rest of your stack smarter.
The result: more than 60,000 brands like Pressed Juicery, OUAI, and True Classic turn mountains of complex data into actions that actually grow profit, at a speed and scale that is not humanly possible.
The Role
Lead Triple Whale's Sales Engineering team while still carrying your own deals. You'll manage three SEs - coaching, call reviews, development - and personally own the hardest technical opportunities in the team's book. Roughly half your time in the field, half leading the team.
What You'll Do
  • Run technical discovery, POCs, and demos on your own deals - typically the largest and most competitively contested.
  • Take escalations from the team on technical and competitive objections they can't close out.
  • Coach three SEs: recurring 1:1s, structured call reviews against our frameworks, and a clear development plan for each.
  • Define and document how SE works here: when an SE engages a deal, what a POC requires to start and what "passed" means, discovery standards before a demo, and what a clean handoff to Solutions Architecture contains.
  • Hire and ramp SEs as the team grows.
  • Own the accuracy of what your team promises pre-sale. Solutions Architecture has to build it.
What Success Looks Like
  • Conversion through the technical evaluation stage, on your deals and across the team.
  • Shorter cycle times on SE-supported deals.
  • What gets promised pre-close holds up post-close.
  • A documented SE process the whole team actually follows.
  • Three SEs measurably better than when you started.
Requirements
  • 6+ years in sales engineering, solutions consulting, or a similar technical pre-sales role.
  • Experience coaching or mentoring other SEs - formal management title not required, but you need to have raised someone else's game before.
  • Track record of building process, not just following it: POC criteria, discovery standards, handoff requirements, review cadences you put in place that stuck.
  • Working SQL fluency.
  • Hands-on experience with marketing attribution - pixel-based, multi-touch, or MMM.
  • Comfortable telling a customer we haven't built something, and telling a rep their deal isn't as strong as they think.
Nice to Have
  • E-commerce or DTC background - MER, CAC, contribution margin, payback.
  • Competitive experience.
  • Shopify ecosystem depth, including headless or non-Shopify implementations.
  • Formal people-management experience.
Our Values
  • We Are Customer Obsessed: From our mission to every detailed project, everything we do is designed to create a positive impact for our customers.
  • We Move (Very!) Quickly: The speed at which we work, iterate, and deliver value is our most competitive advantage.
  • We Are Trustworthy: Candor, directness, and honest communication helps us learn, grow and improve so we can win together.
  • We Are Curious: We extend beyond our comfort zone and ask questions that guide us towards new, creative, and bold paths.
  • We Act Like A Mensch: We act with honor, integrity and empathy, and have deep respect for our customers and each other.

Base Compensation Range: $XX,000-$XXX,000
Our compensation ranges are set using benchmarks from growth-stage companies and factor in function, level, and location-so everything stays balanced and competitive. The range listed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salary across all U.S. locations.
Triple Whale is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
Join Us in Making Waves
If you're looking for more than just a job and want to be part of a movement reshaping the future of Ecommerce, Triple Whale is the place for you. We're on the lookout for driven, curious, and creative individuals ready to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
