Job description

Lawyers on Demand, a Consilio company, is actively recruiting for a temporary Commercial Litigation Paralegal for a remote position with a corporate client of ours in Blackwood, NJ.

In this role, the Paralegal will support attorneys with litigation matters, including fact development, document review, and case preparation. This role is ideal for someone comfortable working with discovery tools and managing case information in an organized, methodical way.

  • Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM, 30‐minute lunch break
  • Hours: 40 per week, Remote - onsite preferred
  • Duration: 3 - 4 months, with possible extension after on a part-time basis
  • Pay Rate: $30 - $33/hour
  • Parking: Free parking onsite

Responsibilities:

  • Assist attorneys with fact gathering for active litigation matters.
  • Request and track public records relevant to pending cases.
  • Conduct fact finding and document review, including keyword searches across case files and discovery materials.
  • Support litigation teams by organizing and maintaining case documentation and search results.
  • Experience supporting litigation matters in a paralegal or similar legal support role.
  • Ability to perform keyword searches and navigate large document sets efficiently.
  • Familiarity with eDiscovery software (any platform with keyword search functionality).

Requirements:

  • 2 - 3 years of experience as a Paralegal
  • Corporate legal department experience
  • Prior exposure to breach of contract litigation, particularly involving contracts and subcontractors.
  • Experience with construction‐related breach of contract cases.
  • Fast‐paced litigation setting requiring strong attention to detail, organization, and follow‐through.
  • Collaborative team environment with direct attorney support.
  • Experience eDiscovery and e-filing, Microsoft Purview preferred.
